I'll be rooting for Jacobs but expect Quillin to win, Jacobs' best chance is probably to land something early on Quillin and force him to become cagey like he was at times after he was hurt by Lee but despite his KO%, I don't think Jacobs has Lee's power.

I like Quillin by stoppage.

I believe that Jacobs has a shaky chin (stopped and put down multiple times as an amateur, flattened by average punching Pirog, buckled twice by Ishe Smith, dropped by fairly light-hitting Mora) and Quillin can crack. Jacobs may be able to build a lead throughout the early/middle rounds, but I don't think he's a good enough boxer to avoid being seriously hurt at some point. Quillin did look weary after getting dropped by Lee, and Jacobs does have a high KO ratio, but as ElJefe suggests I don't think that Jacobs is on Lee's level power-wise. In fact, I think that Jacobs has one of the most inflated KO ratios among top ten fighters, and against decent opposition he's simply looked like a solid but unspectacular hitter.

I've set this to record. Watch it Sunday morning. Watched the all access show the other day and can't help but like Jacobs. Inspirational guy. Fancy Quillin to win by KO but Jacobs has a chance.

I'd like to see Jacobs get it but i fancy Quillin to KO him round about halfway in,you can never write off Danny's power tagging Peter but i think at some point maybe after getting off the canvas himself Quillin stops him

For various reasons I would anticipate this being sporadically exciting- when either mans concentration /technique/chin problems are momentarily exposed- but mostly boring (as both men 'show respect for the other guys power'/fight like massive pussies well aware of their limitations).

Albeit i wouldn't rule out Jacobs getting ironed out relatively early if he doesn't show enough to get quillins respect.

They both suck I hate both these guys.

The only thing that puts me off Quillin is the fact that he vacated his title rather than fight Korobov but was happy to fight Lee for the same belt right after, and he came in over

I think this could be a stinker as they are both cautious fighters anyway and can bang.

Quillin had an abysmal work rate v Andy Lee and scared to throw and Jacobs just coasted v Truax when really he could have got him done in 4-5 rounds.

That said the Brooklyn rivalry may mean they could both go for it and hopefully it catches fire early both can bang and both have suspect chins.

However Quillin hits harder and less suspect defensively

He just came across very humble and down to earth, plus it went into details of his illness and told what he had to go through just to get back on his feet never mind back in a boxing ring. Must've been pure hell for him. Has a young kid too. Got to respect his attitude and determination.

I remember being pretty shocked when Pirog KO'd him fairly quick

Yeah I was the same mate. I hadn't heard of Pirog before and there was a lot of hype surrounding Jacobs at the time. I didn't really used to like the guy but I thought he came across quite well on the all access show.

I fancy Quillin to force a stoppage mid rounds.

Actually quite excited by this fight. Both can bang a bit so should be exciting.

Eubank Jr against the winner aswell is interesting.

Do you think Eubank against Spike is a straight forward fight for Eubank then? I'm looking forward to that one too. I reckon it'll be a bit of a war. Eubank v Quillin would be very interesting.

Unfortunately I do. I really rate Eubank. He's improved a awful lot since the BJS fight mostly due to the experience he'd of gained from it and having Booth in camp.
A lot of the media circus comes from his father he's actually a gym rat who just eats, breathes and sleeps boxing. Spike will fancy a war but I think Eubabk will meet him head on and stop him early.
I really rate Quillin aswell the problem I see for him is that he still fights in spells and switches off if he can't bully his opponent. He looked great against Lee then completly switched off once he felt Lees power.
Some good fighters and fights to be made at middle away from GGG. Anyone who faces his is a sacrificial lamb in my opinion. He's the one to beat.

Quillin is a beast, after this fight people will just realise how good a boxer Andy Lee is to force a draw with him.

This is true. I see it as Al Haymon fighters rarely ever fight Top Rank fighters.

What a performance from Jacobs. Didn't see that coming at all! Massive win and a great story. I thought the referee could've perhaps gave Quillin a count but he tried to stay on his feet and gave the ref a decision to make. He was out on his feet in any case. I've heard and read both guys getting a bit of stick but both come across as complete gentleman. Very refreshing post fight interviews from both guys. Very humble.

Great stoppage by the ref. When a boxer is unable to protect himself, it's over. Brilliant performance.
