Tyson Fury rung the Jeremy Vine show today on BBC Radio 2 to justify his homophobic rant. (i missed the show today but anyone hear what he said)

Frank Bruno has said he wants to come out of retirement to fight Fury.

He must have upcoming Panto work he needs advertising because there's no way he'd get a license with his mental health history.

Exactly. I think Frank is missing his past and finds it hard to move on. Lovely bloke but needs to get his mental health sorted.

Unfortunately I think Bruno's mechanism has gone and he'll never get it back. Once you've lost your mind, it doesn't come back.......

Its a shame bruno didnt get into training. Even now he could open a gym and fill it with young lads wanting to learn how to box. Its just a shame he was portrayed as the jolly simple fellow with the daft tv adverts and pantos.

I listened to it at work, Tyson dug his heels in refused to alter his views on homosexuality/ women/ Jessica Ennis, he actually didn't come off too badly and managed to stand his ground in an intelligent manner and had a fairly reasonable an answer to everything thrown at him.

He previously said she "slaps up" well (looks good with makeup) and looks good in a dress, couldn't see the harm in that myself.

The media witchhunt on Fury is a disgrace.

Him beating Wlad is equivalent to when Murray won Wimbledon.

He should walk SPOTY but got a feeling he will get robbed due to all this bad publicity.

Unfortunately racism towards the travelling community still seems acceptable in today's society.

You cant deny that Fury has personality. But can you imagine the BBC giving him an award? It will open the floodgates. There are proberly more deserving sports personalities that have done well this year. Yes Fury won a world title but it wasnt a battle royal that justifies an award imo

Did a show jumper or something daft like that not win this same award before? On the grand scheme of things it means absolutely nothing at the end of the day.

The Sports Personality Award is fucked up because if it was about personality how did these win
Robin Cousins
Torville and Dean
Liz McColgan
Andy Murray

Only real personalities that have won it were
Gazza
Botham
Daley Thompson
Flintoff

So therefore, hands down Fury must win it for his personality ............... if he had no personality he must win it simply for acheivment for becoming World Champion and dethroning the undethronable Klit

SOOOOOOOO he has both the mega personality factor AND probably the greatest sporting achievement of 2015 AND coming at the end of the year

IF he doesn't win it regardless of homophobic this and that and whatever else these fornicating politically correct do gooding un-opinionated cowardly sheep throw at him .................. it is proven to be the biggest farse that people have suspected for years

Zara Phillips and Princess Ann winning it ..................... come on, ridiculous, fornicating joke, I would ask how do the BBC get away with it but you need only to look at Saville and Co

Just call it "The Award from rich elitist old bastards for someone that didn't piss us off, was reasonably good at some sport we deem in fashion at the current time and probably could come and share a dinner with us, kiss our arses and it would be quite nice that they got some recognition for our self benefit and to show we are jolly good people here at the BBC"

Just heard it. Can't help but like fury. In this day and age it's refreshing to hear someone NOT issue a public apology for a storm in ateacup like say benedict cumberpatch

Look, he's not hurting anyone, he's just got an opinion. He's not stabbing people cos their gay or anything horrific like that ffs.

loads of people don't agree with women wearing burkas, but they still respect the right to wear them.

Ultimately we can't all think the same.

And from what they were saying, it didn't even sound like he was 'comparing' gays to paedos.

Why should he get a pass for saying the things he said? No one else would, trying to make it about him being from the travelling community is absurd.

Also, the bbc sports personality of the year is about achievement not actual personality ffs.
