I'm tempted to say yes, but I don't want to rush my judgement. It's top 5 for sure.

the best thing about the stooges is they were experts on everything.
from one episode to the next they were lawyers, then surgeons, bankers, bakers,
with no explanation of how they got there. true renaissance men.

him after his first professional loss. this forum

1) please look up asberger's syndrome and the inability to recognize sarcasm.
2) you take this shit way too personal.
3) you speak for "people here" no more than anyone else.
4) i had over 30 matches in 3 weight classes myself, and personally mastered the above described maneuver
and was clearly disagreeing with the OP out of my position of expertise.

"Fantastic" record ??? What is so fantastic on it. The only good win is N'Dam. The other decent win, Rosado, was a gift from a ref. As soon, as Quillin stepped up with people who can punch, he got exposed by Rosado, Lee and Jackobs.

"Fantastic record". LMAO

1) no i didn't recognise your sarcasm.
2) maybe. but sometimes it's worth it.
3) again maybe, yet i sense in this case i
share the position of the reasonable poster,
seemingly including yourself. i would not
post here if it was any different.
4) congratulations.

no need to take this any further from my side.

well, he managed in a tough and competitive
sport to win a world title and got his first loss
at 32. which - in the context of being mocked
on an internet board for closing his eyes after
being hit in the face - is a fantastic record.

If you want to compare him with journeymen, club fighters and forum posters, then he has a fantastic record. If you compare him with A-yish level fighters, then there is nothing fantastic in it.

I don't give a f4ck. Everybody makes mistakes. I made one starting this thread, but it doesn't mean I have to agree with cr@p like Quillin's "fantastic record".

We all say stupid things every now and then and as another poster alluded to, it takes class to admit a mistake. You have every right to believe Quillin is overrated, and you have every right not to like him for whatever reason, but basing anything on a snapshot when someone has their eyes closed wasn't your greatest moment, but you admitted that. It's like taking a picture of someone frowning and concluding they're mean.

I think this dude doesn't understand that because of muscles and physics,
sometimes your eyes close when getting hit in the face.

I thought that was almost instinctive human knowledge ...

compared to almost all internet posters (don't
know if sugar ray is blogging) he does have a
fantastic record, which is all i was saying or
implying. but there is no need to take this any
further. i think it was not your brightest moment
to start this thread, but probably everyone has
done a thing like that, so no big deal.
