Really liked this guy, was poorly managed and should never have gone for the rematch with TT straight after the loss. Was all downhill after that.
He should have been in with Thompson in the first place. He should have had another dozen fights before fighting a world class opponent.
Would it have mattered in the long run though?

Really comes across well as a person but is fundamentally flawed as a fighter. I'd like to see him doing punditry but it seems you have to have achieved a bit more to have your opinion respected in this arena.

Wish him all the best whatever he decides to do.
Would never have mattered. he has no punch resistance. he would never have been 'ready'.

At the end of the day price hasnt got the chin for boxing,he is a nice guy and punch hard but wen he gets clipped its bambi on ice time,he could of fought 300+ rounds before the thompson fight and the result would of still been the same imo

Don't see where he can go because soon as he steps up opposition his chin lets him down.

Clearly he shouldn't have been pushed into that rematch, the second loss just destroyed his confidence, but by then his chin had been exposed for all to see.

I rated him at the time far higher than Fury who lets not forget ducked facing Price, but its amazing to see just how differently their careers have ended up. I'd argue Tyson's camp did a far better job of protecting their fighter but he still got in there & won the fights.

He can still bang but he's never going to achieve anything in Boxing now, would prefer it if he slid off quietly & got himself another career & got out of the sport before he gets really hurt as seems a nice bloke.

As a constant believer and fan boy of sorts of David Price im still not throwing the towel on the burning embers of his career just yet :-?

me too, it's the gift that keeps on giving. price against richard towers is a decent fight at this stage but it would only set him up for being blitzed against a genuine puncher. still money to be made though if that's a genuine aim. must admit ive got more respect for price than haye, at least price has always given it a go, and he's a real gent too.

Was a real shame how it went for Price, I do like the guy. If he had finished TT off in that second fight then who knows what might have happened. You can tell that he is nervous every time he steps in the ring now, doesn't throw his shots like he used to.

Sauerland have Price, Groves and Chisora on their books now.

They could do an all-UK show if they wanted.

I don't think Price gave it much of a go against Teper, he looked scared. The Thompson rematch see him completely quit too. Not so sure he is quite the 'give 100% no matter what' type you are implying mate!

In fairness, I thought Price took a lot of shots in the Thompson rematch and also showed a lot of guts.

He took a lot of shots but could he have continued? He basically turned his back and quit. Never seen Haye turn his back and quit. He's only real blemish was Wlad. Look at what Haye did in France, labelling him a soft touch ( obviously something you never did by the way ), especially when compared to Price of all people is simply not true.
Can never imagine Fury ending a fight like Price did in the Thomson rematch.
