How is it possible to be told by doctors to retire because of and then come back to fight at the top level? Surely he's just one error away from an even more serious injury (shoulder not toe)?

Look at football players coming back from career threatening injuries. Sometimes with rest and recovery and rehab something s are possible to come back from. If his injury plays up during a fight.he can simply retire during the.fight but . . he has obviously been testing.himself before announcing the.fight. I see fury losing to wlad and Haye taking on winner of aj whyte. Fury will not fight Haye no matter what and I don't blame.him. good luck to fury he will give it a go.

Di Mori coming off a superb win against a guy Fury KO'd in his 2nd fight

Never heard of him until this week and his records padded to say the least,seeing as Haye's been out the ring for 3 years Di Mora isnt that bad an opponent,what irks me though is that David had to make a big deal about todays announcement even though we knew he was returning last week,as soon as the found out he was fighting Di Mori they should have just revealed it either last week when he announced he was returning or just released the info through the press

But he makes a big deal about the presser and the secret identity of the opponent like it was gonna be a great match up rather than a shake off the cobwebs type of fight

As you can see the subject of Mark De Mori is a popular one here. Most opinion is that Mark should have stepped up years ago, he had opportunities to fight Kali Meehan, Joesph Parker, Alex Leipai, and Lucas Browne over the past few years and the fights have not eventuated for some reason or another.

Since his move to Europe his choice of opponents have been strange and handpicked. The range from blown up cruisers who have a negative win loss record, to fat heavys, both types are usually blown out of the fight with 2 or 3 rounds.

But, Mark has been known to come on to Boxrec in the past and take Q&A from the Aussie forums, he regualarly responds to tweets from boxing fans, and is generally a a top bloke.

The opinion from the majority of the natives here is that he will be blasted out quickly, and is badly out of his league.

I have looked at the few tapes and De Mori looks good. He is certainly showing skills, both technical and physical. Whether it will be enough against a world level fighter is another question but I am looking forward to this. De Mori is in with a chance.

Good pick. Looks good on the scales, has a decent record on paper, but Haye will do him in less than six minutes.

It's a decent record on paper for what Haye is trying to achieve i.e. to test his shoulder, get used to the routine of fighting again, what happens on fight night, etc... and, most of all, banging out some muscly guy as an hors d'oeuvre for the big build up to the Joshua fight in the summer.

Haye's camp have chosen the worst fighter they could find with a ranking. So even though it is a relative stinker of a match-up, it will appear to some to be something a bit better than that.

Haye would have been foolish tackling anyone too challenging first up after three and a half years out of it. He needs a rust remover before moving up to something meaningful.

David Haye may possibly be finished, he is doing short sharp sessions robably just keeping fit lol. Don't know what type of sessions these are, but to be a world level you have to be dedicated in training. He's notoriously known for hating training. I hope he's taking this return seriously, seems like he's fed up with it all. Doing loads of media appearances. I wish him and Khan were training and perfecting their craft more often.

He's not deluded.

Haye is coming off a long lay off and he's no spring chicken. Sometimes boxers come apart overnight and there's no way of knowing before hand. DeMori has a chance.
