Spike just kissed Eubank Jr at the weigh in today

Post by johnswan1 »

Spike seems to have burst into life this week - had a lot more to say at the final press conference and today has kissed Eubank Jr on the mouth at the stare down after the weigh in.

I think this is a fun fight but Eubank should dominate his way to a decision win. 7/2 looks excellent value.

I agree. I took that price yesterday. Both making themselves out to be huge punchers when they are not and both look to have solid chins. Interesting fight.

:OhYes: :shame:

I imagine Eddie Hearn loved that - few more PPVs sold.

Eubank to smash him up inside 3 rounds after this is my prediction.

I don't know about that Reece.

Spike banged out his 2 last opponents, quality KO's ; Looks like he can blast to me!

Agree. Spike looks to have genuine power. I think Eubank will be too much though and stop him on his feet. Eubank has bags of potential. If he listens to Adam Booth he could be a top world level contender.

But against poor opposition. Eubank can bang too we have seen him splatter numerous overmatched Eastern Europeans on his BN run before he fought BJS. This is no different to OSullivan.

This should have been Eubanks return fight instead of Jeter it's an ok fight but Eubank wins pretty easily. Have to admit I want Spike to win but can't see it.

He really does. Eubank Jnr shows hat no matter how early you take the sport up etc, there is no substitute for having natural ability when it comes to reaching a high level. Give him another 12 months and I'd fancy him to take Saunders in a rematch

O Sullivan seems to have take a leaf out of Conor McGregor's book.

It's really really strange. All about how he has been hyped and his "image" I guess. I imagine half his "fans" have never even seen him fight they just think - 'sharp suit? check, flash watch?check, beard? check, mouthy? check, photos with expensive cars? check' = MODERN DAY HERO :yay:

I'm no UFC aficionado but I suspect there are probably a fair few more skilled fighters within their corporation. Maybe he is so well supported because he is a 'striker'? They tend to be quite popular.

I think Aldo is unbeaten in around 10 years and is absolutely horrible when in a grapple, I'm going to get BT sports and ditch Sky sports.

Yeah to be fair I'd probably take more of an interest if there was more striker type fighters. The grappling does nothing for me!

I was thinking about doing the same and just getting a now TV box then just putting Sky on when there's boxing on. Keep BN and BT on my Virgin.

Would work out a lot cheaper over the course of the year. Virgin are ridiculous for Sky sports package and there's not always boxing on and any half decent card is getting whored on to PPV now!

One of the funniest weigh in, because of the kiss and English dancing. :OhYes:

I think O'Sallivan has some power but not enough to make a difference in this fight. First because its hard to land clean power on Jr and then because he seem to have a good chin. Spike wont be able to land constantly enough to dent it.

Eubank late stoppage or a wide point decision.

I haven't watched MMA for ages, not been interested for a few years....but everyone's talking about McGregor so I had a look at a few videos.... And I must say he's very entertaining. He's bloody rude! His boxing skills are pretty good too. I may watch a replay

I agree. that rematch down the line would be huge. If yEubank continues to fight like that on sky with the antics of his dad he is gonna draw in real numbers. He come in to a very mixed reception Saturday night and left it with huge cheers. a very crowd pleasing match while it lasted.

Does kissing have any place in boxing at all?

Who tunes in to watch people kiss?
