Apparently Chas. Martin has decided not to risk his shot vs Glazkov for now vacant 'BF title, so he's pulling out of this Saturday's bout with fellow unbeaten Dominic Breazeale. Which really sucks for Breazeale & for us fans who wanted to see the two of them fight this weekend. But, maybe this will free up Breazeale for the 1/16 slot vs Wilder?
Not that Breazeale really deserves a title shot, but at this point he deserves it as much as anyone else that they might find.
Still, I'm disappointed in Martin's people for pulling him out just days before the scheduled fight. Guaranteed title shot or not, I wouldn't think that that would be legal. They must be paying Breazeale some good step aside money.

Is there no decent heavyweight available to step in?sweetviolenturge wrote:Apparently Chas. Martin obviously lacks confidence.

I wouldn't say that. Why would he risk and injury or a cut, when he can by pass the Breazeale fight for a title shot? Martin has faced a few guys undefeated in his career. The move to bypass the fight makes sense, at least to me.

Breazeale is awful, so it wouldn't be shocking at all to hear he's Wilder's next opponent.

They don't make "fighters" like they use to.
