I just heard Luke Campbell lost earlier. I'm shocked. I thought he would handle the step up, I really did.

I'll stick my neck out and say Aldo beats him. Apologies for digressing from boxing, but its a big event that im looking forward to.aquinas wrote:I have a tenner on

I've got Eubank to win on points, looks decent value considering he might be fatigued from his poor weight making and his prancing about letting folk off the hook doesn't do him any favours either. However, he is a league above O'Sullivan so will not be surprised if he knocks him out.

I'm shocked too, I never understand why they match make with such experienced fighters, it can make all the difference.Neil Gee wrote:I just heard Luke Campbell lost earlier. I'm shocked. I thought he would handle the step up, I really did.

Lord...... how many times are the commentators going to repeat something along the lines of 'the real winners are the fans tonight...'
It doesnt matter how much glitter you sprinkle on a turd, it's still a turd.....

Re: Joshua vs Whyte RBR
Looking forward to Eubank-Sullivan. You know Sullivan has come to fight and Eubank won't be able to mess him about. He'll force him to prove himself (I fearlessly forecast).
Re: Joshua vs Whyte RBR
Now we have Glenn McCrory blathering on about "the fans winning" "good value for money" etc. Is that really his job?! I thought Matchroom were the promoters......kaiserbill wrote:Sky.Jack B wrote:I've just put the boxing on after watching Bournemouth-Man Utd. Caught the last round of Mendy-Campbell and the subsequent decision, interviews and analysis.
Virtually 100% of the chatter was related to Campbell - "shame he didn't win" "tough learning fight" etc.
Not one of the so-called experts spoke about Mendy in any sort of detail, or indeed give him any real credit for his victory. There was also absolutely zero explanation of how/why he won. It was simply ALL about the house fighter losing!
Absolutely appalling punditry.
It's terribly one-eyed, which is frustrating as everything is then slanted away from a true picture.
The analysis needs a complete shake up (appreciate I'm preaching to the converted on here). Froch has the potential to be very good if let off the leash.

I think McCrory is probably the worst pundit on tv,im amazed at his staying power,i dont think he's ever said anything that ive thought "very perceptive of you Glenn" EVER
Re: Joshua vs Whyte RBR
Ive said before Eubank to win inside three rounds, in a 'statement' fight.
Looking forward to this.

Definitely needed a couple more learning fights with hindsight. He stayed amateur too long.SNG wrote:I'm shocked too, I never understand why they match make with such experienced fighters, it can make all the difference.Neil Gee wrote:I just heard Luke Campbell lost earlier. Re: Joshua vs Whyte RBR
Its hard to predict with Eubank Jr,if he can be guilty of posing and posturing, taking fights into longer stages than required
If he gets to work early then he KO's O'Sullivan early IMHO of course

Cant stand the bloke and a questionable "world champ" in my view (given who he had to beat to get there).Batley18 wrote:It is obvious he dislikes Eubank Jr as wellhandsofstone wrote:I think McCrory is probably the worst pundit on tv,im amazed at his staying power,i dont think he's ever said anything that ive thought "very perceptive of you Glenn" EVER

Perfect matchmaking in my opinion, his loss says more about himself rather than Eddie or whoever,he was poor from the get go and was unable to tighten things up and change tacticsNeil Gee wrote:Definitely needed a couple more learning fights with hindsight.
