So... Who's next for Joshua???

Post by PokerRob »

After his performace tonight, if you were his promotor, who would you be lining up next for Joshua...

Remember, the balance has to be someone not to risky, yet marketable enough to sell. Perhaps even PPV seeing as all of Joshuas fights seem to be going that way.

Myself, I think Chisora is the obvious choice, people will pay to see it!

Chisora is the perfect next fight. Will take him rounds without posing a real threat.

Chisora is totally shot, he shouldn't be allowed anywhere near Joshua at this point.

Realistically it will be someone dogshit like Tony Thompson or Malik Scott, both I can confirm at this stage are utter garbage after having stayed up to 4am to watch their recent 10 round borefest.

Might even draft in Stiverne who is now completely shot, although he's a beast of a man with fast hands and iron chin so it could run the risk he rolls back the clock and would have a serious shot at the upset.

Would love to see him face the Real King Kong Luis Ortiz or even Wach who's again got an iron chin but fairly limited.

The winner of King Kong vs Jennings could be a fun one!

I cant believe you guys are writing off Chisoras chances i thought he looked pretty sharp for a guy who only fought two days prior. Eddie would have to be bat shit crazy to put joshua in the ring with him now. I dont think he is ready for Tony Thomson, Lucas Brown, Arreola etc either.

They should be looking at guys like Gerber and Malik Scott.

Chisora is the obvious candidate - he could defend his titles, a theoretical test, and could be marketed as a PPV. Not agreeing it should be on Box Office, but DC is a big enough name for Matchroom to try and sell it to the proverbial casual.

Del Boy is also a mandatory challenger for the European title - although bit of a queue at the minute! - so it would be, in practice, an eliminator for a shot at Teper or Helenius in the summer (chief support for Brook-Khan??).

I think that how's I would move him along if I was in Eddie's shoes. Based on tonight he is not anywhere near ready for Fury or Haye (if DH has anything left!).

People would back Chisora v Whyte then I presume? I'm not so sure.
I think Haye took away Chisora's punch resistance.

I don't think Joshua will maximise his potential until he loses. Not a fan of his training team at all
