I've given amid loads of stick over the years, but he's a nice lad isn't he?ni supposed I judged him harshly cos we were watching him grow up in public, but credit to him, he did loads for syria as well

Good on him. I'm one of the many who will slate his boxing and opponents but this is a very nice gesture.

i found this comment below the Mail article. I wouldn't say quite as clear cut as this guy thinks but it pretty much sums up exactly what I think too.

Always been a big fan of Amir Khan. Lots of people seem to have a love/hate thing with him just don't get it. Got to see him fight Brook ! Only one winner there though and that's Khan.

Is that right mate? I don't know. Khan was in an awkward position of being a "realistic" opponent of the best boxer on the planet. However, as soon as it became apparent Floyd didn't want to know he should have got on with his own thing. The Mayweather paycheck was always a distraction.
