Roy Jones just got KTFO by Maccarinelli in Moscow

It's so odd to watch Jones get repeatedly levelled.... Green, Tarver, Johnson, Lebedev, Now Macca.

Thing is Maccarinelli has always been a good boxer with great power... If he'd had a good chin he might've ruled Cruiser for ages. But his whiskers have let him down. (Mind you he was keeping his chin well down in the Jones fight.)

Jones has lost his chin and reflexes, and clearly sacked his PED dealer judging by his physique.

People feel sorry for Roy, but everyone knows he's been a massive PED abuser and when in a dangerous sport like boxing...... It's not right

Come one, man. He didn't take a sustained beating, but that KO was like being a car crash. He can't keep doing that if she wants to maintain a working brain.

I would still say he is getting hit much less than average boxer and we are just paying attention because 15 years ago he would be simply "untouchable" for most of his current opponents. His last KO loss was against Lebedev in 2011, and also at that time RJJ was competitive (this time against top opponent)... he was KOd just seconds after Levedev should be counted when only the ropes supported him.

It cannot be good for his health to be getting hit like that at this stage of his life, he should be OK for money - surely he has his home paid for and a few quid in the bank - boxing used to be so easy for him, (or at least he made it look easy). I hope he gets out before he gets really hurt.

I never understood why Jones held on as long as he did.... If he wanted the Cruiserweight title, he should have went after it the moment he left heavyweight... timing is everything, and unfortunately we have seen this occur too often in sports... all I can say is (what makes this more tragic or sad) is that he lost on a brutal knockout to a man who is also washed up... had he lost to a young guy, all in his prime, a prospect, or champion it could have been forgivable or excusable. Not this time.

Now... I could joke and say its a gypsy curse :P after all Jones in the HBO telecast dared put Bobby Gunn's name in the same sentence as Tyson Fury's during the Klitschko fight... which is a disgrace to gypsies and travellers everywhere

Good point there.
Most of us have been saying Roy should stay out of the ring for so long that we don't pay attention to who he gets in there with.
In this case it was another boxer that has suffered his share of brutal KO's and has also had a lot of boxing observers say he should not still be fighting.
With that in mind I say Enzo deserves to get a little credit for this win vs people just saying Roy shouldn't be in the ring to begin with.

Enzo has had a solid, respectable career himself and I hope this win does not lead to him getting in there and getting destroyed again.
Highlight reel KO's are great..................as long we don't see the same guy on the receiving end of the KO's too many times.

or if he cleaned up at cruiser immediately after, there wouldn't be any point in him fighting at cruiser
in his 40's as would have the complete set from middle to heavy.

I just watched this and its extremely sad and upsetting to see poor old roy laying there and his legs are still moving in a dance like way. I guess better that than him laying there completely unconscious. He was actually talking to the people gathering around him after the ref waved it off following the 2nd knockdown. He was something like,"I'm fine,i'm okay",basically letting them know his mind was still there but his body just needed to relax and recover for a bit before he got to his feet,and obviously he did,being that i heard the crowd cheering sympathetically for him. They didnt show that part because they were too busy showing the replay of the Ko by Enzo. I would've really preffered to have them skip the stupid replay and show the actual proc ess of Roy getting back to his feet. I probably would've literally started teereing up like i did watching that korea's got talent homeless guy singing like pavoratti.

Russian promoter Kirill Pchelnikov, who handles such fighters as heavyweight Czar Glazkov, says Roy Jones Jr. needs to walk away from the ring before he suffers serious damage.

"It was predictable, something happened that should have happened," said Pchelnikov.

"Roy Jones, with the condition that he's in at the moment, its better if he would be gone from the ring. He does not have to box - better to just let him sing and dance. He needs to retire and let other cherish him, remember how he was a good and talented boxer. He doesn't have to get in the ring anymore. What he had is a thing of the past, that was a long time ago."

It was a horrible thing to see.

It is starting to look like a tragedy waiting to happen.
When he gets knocked out he gets knocked out hard. His health will start to deteriorate with the concussions.
He's already starting to sound a but punch drunk.

I really really hope a family member or someone he respects puts a arm around him and explains that it's all over.

After the first knockdown. Mac had Roy pinned up on the ropes. After the one vicious uppercut the ref should have stepped in and waved it off. That last over hand right by Mac was unnecessary.
