and the lee-saunders fight is next week. i've said this many times, if GGG secures a unification
with the lee-saunders winner (if it's lee it will be signed the day after) and is the co-main
event on that canelo cinco de mayo ppv card, he and lee get paid about $2mil each and they
promote the hell out of a september GGG-canelo matchup that canelo is locked into and a
close to even split, everybody will be happy. the pot will be bigger for september and GGG
and canelo will each walk away with $10mil each easily, with maybe canelo getting a bigger
share, no catch or 158 at worst, for all the titles. biggest fight of the year. the wbc is only
going by what both fighters are asking them to do.

I have no basic problem with you viewing this way.

I could say it is more the WBC letting K2 know they won't strip Canelo and that they need to work something out.

Because the other side of it is this:

What happened to "he agrees to fight at 160 by the deadline or else?"

Lee/Saunders has been out there...and the winner has long been acknowledged as in-line for a big fight.

Before, it was all about getting the belts first and making the fights after.

Never miss a fight.

Been on vacation where I took a cab halfway across midtown to make it to Jack Dempsey's to watch him crush Stevens.
