Why didn't Sky criticise Johsua for...

Post by TheLeprechaun »

1. Hitting after the bell.

-He has done this in several fights now and did it again with Whyte.

2. Celebrating when Whyte was still on the floor.

-They were all over Selby for celebrating when he starched one of the Smiths and many other times when fighters celebrated while opponents were on the floor.

Jim Watt has definitely strongly criticised him more than once previously for hitting opponents when they're down.

On your second point, the whole fight/show was sold on the bad blood! Whyte would have done exactly the same.

Because he is AJ. But yes Jamie - Jim Watt has criticised him for running a fine line in the past and noted it again last night.... but again, because he is Jim Watt the past it commentator who only miscalls fights (according the views here) it will not get mentioned.

1. His shot was fine. In the bell. Not like he hit Whyte with his guard down and walking back to his stool.

2. They're fighters. Spiteful folk looking to ktfo the other guy. I thought Pacquaio was dead for a moment and Marquez was climbing on the turnbuckle with his hands up.

I don't understand the Whyte would have done the same argument. So because you think Whyte would have acted like a prick it's ok for AJ to do it? I get the bad blood thing but all we are told is how professional AJ is and how he is a role model ect ect, he is none of those things and should have been pulled up on his antics.

AJ and Sky get under my skin, I despise SKY and There bullshit. It's a proper cosy love in they have going and its us fans that end up getting mugged off. Man of the people my arse

What is the total yearly cost for a boxing fan using Sky? If they had a basic sports package, and bought every PPV?

£300 or more???!! I have not had it for years

Isn't basic Sky Sports about £45 a month? Thats £540 a year, add in 4 ppvs and you're looking at £600+

Add in allegedly and you're over £700 a year...a Fight Pass thingy costs a bit too... Say £750 to watch all the pay content over here, add a magazine subscription and its over £800...
No wonder people like fishing

Sweet god.... That is extortionate. SKY seem to be both a corporate pimp and drug dealer rinsing out its customers and sucking them in before ripping them off.

It's even more with HD.

I had the HD package with sports (no movies), it was almost £90 a month. I watched maybe an hour of boxing a week, if that...sometimes less.

Didn't scream good value to me.

Note-its cheaper if you add it to an existing package, £25.50 I think, but that's still over £350 a year before tacking on the PPVs

I watch a lot of football and boxing so I've got Sky (also Phone/Broadband with them) with sports channels, Box*ation, and BT Sport.

Works out at about £2,000 a year! :oo

I think Jim Watt has called him out on it a few times now.

Whyte went a bit mental at the end of the first round. Looked like a Riddick Bowe scenario and I thought Watt commentated on it well and didn't make a mountain out of a molehill like they normally do.

Hate to admit this but it was a absolute cracking card and in hindsight well worth the £15.

I only have sky sports for the boxing and I have allegedly and a Boxing news subsciption.

Boxing costs me a lot of money to follow. For sky to be cost effective you need to be a huge football fan.
