Cruiserweight Rehydration?
Cruiserweight Rehydration?
Saw a post in another thread where someone said Bellew looked like he has stamina issues at CW, got me thinking if it'd be more beneficial to him if he weighed in around 190, but then I wondered what weight to cruisers tend to rehydrate to? Obviously each fighter is different but I don't think I've ever seen a fight night weight for a cruiser given on TV - anyone know roughly what they go up to, if they go up at all?
Re: Cruiserweight Rehydration?
Cruiserweight limit went up to 201lbs several years ago from 190. I reckon most cruisers will put on 10lbs or so.
A good example is when Johnny Nelsons opponent Napoleon Tagoe failed his medical for a fight on the Thursday. when Johnny weighed in (presumably on my the Friday) he was already 206lb (16 lbs more than what he would have weighed in had it been a championship fight!)
