Buterean's life would be in danger if he fought Galento. The Two Ton one fought a bunch of setups to get in line for a shot at Louis, but he had a deadly left hook and was tough..tough..tough. Tender skin, cut easily, especially around the eyes. knew all the dirty tricks and imoprovised some of his own. Was a legit heavyweight fighter, not a mere side show attraction like like the legume namesake.

How could anybody with knowledge of boxing compare the two? Butterbean was a freakish clown who fought bums that took a dive. However Galento met all the leading heavyweights in a long career and had a good record and a powerful left hook. He was seconds away from knocking out Louis. Had he trained properly who knows how far he could have gone.

We're making allowances here because we think this kid is coo coo....but....here on the boxers of the past forum terap, who reallyh knows his boxing history, is making a case for Primo Carnera being a good fighter..the fights were legit..etc. You don't believe me? check it out...maybe I'm reading it wrong.
