Lee did not deserve a sht. Been dropped twice and doing absolutely nothing until 12th round. Contemptible performance from "champion".

Re: Official Lee vs Saunders RBR Thread
115-111 Saunders for me but a lot of rounds where next to nothing happened bar a lot of feinting from BJS and jabs thrown out of range by Lee,i cant fathom Saunders tactics though,he was clearly a lot better technically than Lee and fair enough for not rushing in on Andy after scoring the KD's in the 3rd but he should have just carried on as before instead of grinding to a halt and allowing Lee to recover and come into it
Lee showing a champions grit again and maybe couldve kept his title if he put the foot down a little harder sooner,Saunders was excellent at times but he has to sort his engine out,he's done as many 12 rounders as anyone in UK just now so needs to pace himself a lot better

I just hope BJS kicks on now as he's better then he's shown tonight.
Why is everyone taking about GGG like he's the standard you need to get to? He's P4P top 3 so leave him out of the discussion, BJS knows he's not in his league.

Andy Lee is teak tough apparently
Re: Official Lee vs Saunders RBR Thread
Jacobs beats Saunders. Eubank Jr will beat him if they fight again.
Re: Official Lee vs Saunders RBR Thread
That actually made me angry that.
fornicating awful crap fight. What annoys me the most is that somehow the winner of that shite can claim himself a 'world' champion.
Balls.
Come on Billy, call out GGG

As title reigns go, Lee's was rather underwhelming.

Re: Official Lee vs Saunders RBR Thread
Saunders and Eubank and co will engage in a never-ending PPV round robin 'major title fight' merry-go-round.
None of these men will or want to fight GGG.
Once again the WBO middleweight belt will enable a generation of British middles to have a turn at being 'world champion' without having to endanger themselves against THE MAN.

Do you think there's something in their background or upbringing that makes them terrified to engage? Fury/BJS/Lee all talk a good game but look absolutely terrified of getting hit.
Re: Official Lee vs Saunders RBR Thread
He did what he had to do tonight, understandably wary of the power that Lee carries so he wasn't going to take many chances. To box his way to a points win over a world class fighter without ever really committing on the front foot shows how good he is. Winning this will make him a much better fighter just through the confidence it gives him and as he makes more defences he'll grow into a superb fighter over the years, easy to forget he's still only 26, as long as he lives the life between fights, something I think has now sunk in, he'll be around for a long time to come.digzee wrote:I just hope BJS kicks on now as he's better then he's shown tonight.

You're right about Golovkin too, I can understand people wanting the fight because they're in the same division and Golovkin wants all the belts, but he's just won his first world title, he doesn't need to start stepping up to P4P level yet, let him establish himself at world level with some solid defences first, then start talking about fights like that. Golovkin and Alvarez are having another fight each then getting in the ring with each other next year. I think the winner of that will move up, especially if it's Golovkin, but if they don't then that's the sort of fight Billy Joe should be looking towards sometime in 2017 once he's put some money in the bank.

I was right
Re: Official Lee vs Saunders RBR Thread
I am sure he has read in some book, written in 1847 by a minority boxer driven out of his homeland that when 2 dispossessed fighting men face each other they should not engage to see who gives best purely for the entertainment of their oppressors, or some similar shite.reggaereggae wrote:jameswilson wrote:I'm sure Homicide Henry can trace his roots back to Ghana.reggaereggae wrote:Andy Lee is teak tough apparently![]()
