and I will. I would love to hear his acceptance speech. Live. On national TV. They'd need an hour time delay. On achievement alone he has to be in the top 3 . Personality wise he has the biggest by a long, long way.

My vote's now been officially cast and after some protracted, detailed and very tense decision making it is Lewis Hamil.....
Just joshing; was the big man all the way!
If Barry McGuigan is very near the front row/stage when it is results time there might be a chance it could be Tyson?

Nothing to do with free speech, it's by far the best achievement of the lot in a sporting sense and Fury just happens to be a great character as well.

Defo voting him.
I dislike the fact like Hamilton is a tax exile in Monaco yet wins British awards like this.

If I was an F1 driver, I think I'd choose Monaco over Britain tbh.G0mez wrote:Defo voting him.

I've no interest in this whatsoever.
To be honest, if I did, I'd vote for Jessica Ennis, as I think her achievement is greater.

I'm never interested in it. But always throw a vote a boxer's way.jamesmcdonnell wrote:I've no interest in this whatsoever.

This year though, I hope Fury runs riot with the mic and calls out the beeb for ignoring pro boxing and shielding paedofiles.

Got a cheeky wee £20 on him so will be voting. Can only be him or Andy Murray surely only 2 to make history

Yup, sometimes it is hard to watch and the BBC can be a pain in the arse with their favourites.I've no interest in this whatsoever.

But as a boxing fan I want to see an outstanding Brit champ gets some 'props' and also get some much-deserved, mainstream recognition and this is a good forum for that pat on the back and some wider appreciation. It never did Frank or Barry any harm.
It is good for the fighter, good for the sport and might show the BBC that televising pro boxing should be part of their remit as a publically-funded broadcaster. Tyson winning would do the BBC a power of good - a real reality check - and I hope he does it.
We've had a great year in the ring with the British stronger than ever and Tyson getting the crown would show that boxing is not just a niche sport the BBC can hide away with a bit of blogging and some fights on the radio.

Hamilton for me, just because I have no idea who others are :). Furys win even though a great one its just one win. Not enough for me to outweigh winning F1 3rd time.

I've registered to vote for fury when it opens even if he a bit of pillock, it is a massive achievement that beats anything in any sport by a long way, he just needs to keep his gob shut !
Re: Vote for Tyson Fury as the 2015 BBC SPOTY
He shouldn't win because he thinks differently from me.
He thinks Jenn Ennis Hill scrubs up well- if she doesn't then why did she turn up caked in make up and a short skirt?
He thinks a woman should be a home maker- outrageous, yet Jennica Ennis Hill's full VT on SPOTY was focussed on her role of balancing motherhood and athletics- would the BBC have one that for a guy? I think not.

In all honesty i think Mo Farrah will win it. Without getting into arguments i just feel Fury won a title from someone who didnt want to fight. Thats not Furys fault and i applause him for his victory. But imo Mo has done better.
