Redback Rasta wrote:There is an "agreement in principal" for Dunn vs Geale according to Zac Dunn’s manager Barry Michael.
“This would be fantastic for Aussie boxing and it would create a lot of interest for the fans. It’s the old versus the new and a lot of people would come to watch this”, he said.
“Zac is looking to take another step in his development. Daniel Geale is a great fighter and he has been very good for a long time and it won’t be easy but Zac is improving with every fight and I think with his power and boxing ability, I believe he can win”.
“We have an ‘in principle’ agreement between both fighters and we all want the fight to happen but it’s the logistics of putting it together that sometimes takes a bit of time”, Michael said this week.
“This is a great fight between a good Australian ex-World Champion and one of Australia’s best prospects in Zac Dunn. It’s a nice mix of fighting styles making it a very attractive fight for Aussie boxing fans”.
“Our other issue is finding a network to pick the fight up. This fight is too good not to be televised”, he said, highlighting what is a problem for the sport in this country.
Word is if Zac Dunn can get a win against Geale, there is a potential for a superfight against one of world boxing’s all-time greats according to Barry Michael.
Roy Jones?
Pretty confident that's not who Michael is referring to.
All time greats,,,,,,, lets see, it would have to be someone over 40 I rekon, because a win over Mr Nice Guy Geale would not open doors to a fight with a current Great. Im seeing like others on here.......STURM?
