Danny Garcia ducked Viktor Postol twice at 140.

The wbc order Danny Garcia to fight Postol twice, after the Rod Salka fight & before an after the Peterson fight. When they finally reached agreements to fight Danny vacated his title to fight Paulie Malignaggi, what would have happen if they did fight?

I think both fights were "transition" type fights as he was moving up to welter. Peterson was at 143 and Paulie 147. Considering that, I wouldn't call it ducking.

Ehhh, I wouldn't make too much of this. Up until the 11th round of the Aydin fight,
no one really took Postol seriously. And wasn't taken REALLY seriously til October,
by beating a guy Garcia already beat.

So let's chill out a bit ...

Yes. Postol is a very good boxer. He's like Kotelnik, but with better height and reach and a bit more power.

Garcia must have watched videotape of Postol, and knew he would be a difficult opponent.

One thing fans not taking somebody seriously and another is top level boxer selecting an opponent. Risk vs reward ratio was of course very high for Postol, but considering that he was mandatory that is not a sufficient excuse.

I'm still not sold on Postol.

I reckon Garcia would of best him easily at 140 and I reckon Crawford will beat him easily.

I think that a lot of people would have lost money on Garcia if they fought on one of those two occasions. I'm a fan of the father and son Garcia Team even though they've had a tough run of it lately. But Postol is a tough out and he's soaring at this point. With the height and reach advantage at his side, I think that he'd give Crawford a really tough test. That's the best fight to be made right now there. I can see that being an absolute battle. I think we've already seen the best of Garcia and he's got to be really careful about who he elects to get in the ring with at this point.
