Smith was at title level over 5 years ago. He's closer to a veteran! Cox and Walsh have been around years! Eubank Jr?

Killer Kovalev wrote:whats the majority view of a 'prospect' then?
I suppose it is in the context of "British Prospect" or "World Prospect from UK"
I would say that a British Prospect would be a boxer that has fought up to Final Eliminator level
World Prospect could be a boxer that has maybe won the British, Commonwealth and is reaching Euro or World Title Eliminators
Agree?

I would add Hughie Fury to the list if they take their time with him and allow him to develop his full strength he has an unusual boxing ability to bring to the heavyweight division.

Re: Uk Top Prospects currently
1) Hughie Fury - He's the future will be top of the heavyweight game along with Tyson for a lot of years.
2) Andrew Selby - Is a bit lucky at his weight but a shoe in to be world champion.
3) Liam Walsh - Class act been unlucky but if the rumours are true his next fight will be Martinez. He will win and be world champion
4) Josh Taylor - Is progressing well under the Mcguigans can see him winning a World Title
5) Jamie Cox - Hearing big things about this lad think him and Callum Smith about to rule the SMW division
6) Callum Smith - As above
7) Jack Catterall - Really rate him I think he will win a world title early 2017
8) Chris Eubank jnr - I have him down this low because he is in a tough division I think he could be the most talented of the lot. Time will tell. He will win a World Title
9) Anthony Joshua - I don't buy the hype. He did lose twice in the Olympics saying that I give his a outside chance of winning a world title. Just need to reign it in a bit and avoid the Furys
10) Anthony Cacacae - Was close between him and Ryan Burnett. I seem Cacacae 3 times the improvements are crazy. He's a massive super feather. Can see him going on to win a World Title if he's given the right fights

Re: Uk Top Prospects currently
I thought prospects were fighters at Central Area and English title level. Not those who have fought for Interim world titles or title eliminators ?
Re: Uk Top Prospects currently
I did too
Some not as well known prospects Jack Flatley 2-0 as a Pro Middleweight
Paul Drago 9 unbeaten cruiser
There's 2 also others around Zelfa Barrett from collyhurst, Jack massey cruiser bobby Rimmers, Marc leach from olivers bantam weight there's a couple from northwest.

I was going to mention Zelfa Barrett. I like what I've seen of him, and looking forward to seeing him again soon. Out in March I believe.matko wrote:I did too

Re: Uk Top Prospects currently
Personally I do not class boxers who have contested the British title as prospects any more, to me they are at least contenders and at best champions.
I would consider a prospect as someone who has had less than 15 fights and is yet to box for a major title.
Leaving Hatton fighters to one side, I would consider the following as prospects, and I'm sure there are many I've missed.
Tommy Langford
Mark Heffron
Tommy Martin
Joe Hughes
Jack Catterill (WBO European doesn't count as a major title)
Jack Massey
Simon Barclay
Callum Johnson (despite being 30)
Deion Jumah
Jake Ball
Darryll Williams
Zach Parker
Josh Leather
Darren Tetley
Robbie Davies Jnr
Ohara Davies
Romeo Romaeo
Joe Costello
Jordan Cooke

Lewis Ritson will become a very top fighter in the next 18-24 months, already proving himself with champions , so much to look forward to with him
