KC putting his fingers in his ears and holding his breath again hoping that someone finally agrees with this GGG nonsense. When will you finally get it that GGG only wants belts. He's started a nice collection of them that is going to grow substantially in 2016 unless Canelo tucks his junk between his legs and shimmy's away like I think he will. Lara? Is that what you are coming with this time? :witzend: hilarious.
His last 12 fights he has won 2 new belts, one of them an interim title.

By way of comparison, Daniel Geale (who lil g has defeated) has won 2 full belts his last 10 fights.

So no, lil g is not only about winning belts.

But again, I am done trying to warn folks. I will meet you all at the "I told you so" should it happen the way I think it will.
You mean the "Yeah But...." Table, KC. No matter what your boy GGG does, you will dip into your little bag of tricks and find a way to diminish GGG's super human efforts inside the squared circle. I'm not a psychologist but I've banged a few of them. And I think that you are currently suffering from a severe case of Floyd-Void. Don't be alarmed, the name seems scarier than the prognosis. It is curable in 50% of the cases. The most effective forms of treatments begin with discarding all of the posters and memorabilia scattered about your bedroom (tattoo removal when applicable). You really need to rid yourself of the constant reminders in order to heal. The next step is to try not to focus on the cowardly way Floyd finished his career. Let go of the dancing he did to avoid contact, the unusual way he chose to hydrate the day before the fight or the need to have Dave Moretti constantly by his side in case a fight got close on the cards. Instead focus on what he COULD HAVE been. Floyd had the ability to be the best fighter ever and really could have been had he chose not to fight like a coward. It's nothing you did. It's not your fault. It's not your fault....repeat after me....it's not your fault.

This will then open you up to appreciate what the current slue of talented fighters coming up are doing and knock down those walls that you have currently have up. GGG is the polar opposite of Floyd and he's everything that Floyd was not and clearly never wanted to be. He's rearranging the record books and so quickly...the ink's not even dry on Floyd's retirement papers and people have already moved on and appreciating GGG's one in a lifetime talent. We all know what's eating at you and it's time you finally admitted it and did something about it. Consider this your intervention. You're amongst friends, KC.

Whoa fella!

I would say nice try...and I think you are aiming at something vaguely having to do with humor.

But, my advice to you is to leave that to those of us who are good at it.

What IS funny is you have probably mentioned Floyd more than I have since he retired. And I can't help noting how the butthurt above bears an eerie resemblance to the tasteless diatribe a certain fishnet stockinged, former champ turned loser bisexual coke head wrote not too long ago.

I can only hope the words are all you two have in common.

I will be posting a thread in the next day or two outlining why lil g may be considered something of a sham until proven otherwise.

My guess is you will need all your butthurt for that one, so make sure you suck down all the battery acid you can in the next few hours.

Ciao, moron.

I think Bill's a bit too clever for him, too many angles. And I think he'll land enough power shots to discourage him. It's certainly a dangerous fight for Bill but world title defences should be.

Listen, I didn't even go into how fanboy your knob slobbing of lil g is getting.

Let's just say calling lil g "super human" while simultaneously disparaging the greatest of our era (Freddie Roach's words, not mine) leaves no doubt about your bias.

I know you hang on my every word so I will be sure to get that to you soon...or maybe not.

It'd just be pearls before swine on any case...

Here's a guy that pissed on every word out of Freddie Roach's mouth but now he's quoting him like some Czar because it suits him.

THAT right there tells anyone all that they need to know about your character and integrity.

So am I supposed to ignore the fact that GGG is doing things in the ring that I've never seen before?

Only you could continue to criticize a boxer that has been 100% perfect. It's never been done better. So maybe that's why you are taking weeks to research a negative thread you are about to embark on. What your doing is like criticizing a kid that comes home with an A+ on his test. It's ridiculous.

It's all so obvious that it comes down to your man love for Floyd. GGG is everything Floyd never was. He's a role model. He's great for the sport. He's a historical knock out artist. And most of all, he gives the fans what they pay for. Floyd will always be known as the polar opposite.

Sour grapes is what they call it amigo. Maybe some day GGG will lose and you can hit the buzzer saying that you called it and blab on. But when that time comes, it will be because GGG took on a challenge Floyd never had the nuggets to. I expect GGG will test himself and walk in the ring with odds against him ten times more than Floyd ever did. That's what a fighter is and that's what a real fighter does.

When someone is right, you will find me quoting or referring to him. When they are wrong, you will find me taking said moron over the coals.

In this instance, Roach is right and you are the moron. There are other instances I have found you, Caldo, accurate and I have not hesitated to say so. And in instances I have been found to be inaccurate I have also not hesitated to say so.

You want to try and define integrity, start there kid.

As far a lil g, no he is definitely not doing what no one has seen before. A lot of guys have gone undefeated longer, and some have had as impressive or more impressive KO streaks.

But, you keep on showing everyone how fanboy about lil g you are and how clueless you happen to be about the history of boxing.

More laughter for us all...

actually after a fighter gets stripped for not paying an owed sanction fee, not sure
why another title would sanction another of his fights. he strung the wbc along
for 2 years after the martinez fight with only one defense (not against the
mandatory) before refusing to pay the fee. anyone who does that should
pretty much accept that they won't be fighting for titles anymore without
paying the fee up front and getting stripped immediately after for random
reasons.

I see your point in relation to stringing the WBC along and not fighting a mandatory, valid.
But didn't they ask Cotto cough up $800,000, that's a good chunk of change just to sanction a fight.

Wasn't the $800,000 for GGG to step aside? I thought he had to pay $300,000 (3%) sanctioning fee.

Yes, the sanctioning fee was 300k and the step aside money was 800k. Cotto pocketed both of these amounts and was going to consult with his attorneys on whether he has to pay 800k. What happened with that 800k is unknown.
