Heaviest hitters at Light Heavy
Heaviest hitters at Light Heavy
A lot of champs in this division were highly skilled fighters. Bob Foster comes to mind as having a dynamite punch. I also think Spinks' right hand was formidable. Moore could dig as could Charles but who else would make a roll call of top 175 hitters???

I was thinking the same thing, about being underated as a puncher. Might have been because he lacked agressivness. Sometimes he could be a bit dull. A lot of people don't associate power with a non aggressive style. Johnson brought out the best in him. Eddie landed some real bombs that night.expug wrote:He was a good puncher. I was impressed when he bombed Marvin Johnson out of there. Eddies power is underated I think.kick asner wrote:Eddy Mustapha Mohammed comes to mind. I remember him knocking out Jerry " The Bull" Martin with one punch.

The hardest LH hitter was probably Joe Choynski. But the division didn't exist back then, so he was a 175 pounder forced to fight larger men. Corbett, Jeffries and Sharkey all said he hit hardest of all. He KO'd Jack Johnson with a single punch.Ezzard wrote:A lot of champs in this division were highly skilled fighters.
