Is Andre Ward the biggest pu$$y in boxing today?

Post by digzee »

So this guy is at it again, his team fool everyone by pretending they are going to fight a real LHW (Barrera) but are trying to do a deal with another average SMW (Periban). He needs more tune ups then a 50 year old Range Rover. Pathetic

Can you post that clip of Ward head butting Kessler Freedom :TU:

His matchmaking has been laughable, he certainly isn't a pussy. He's signed for Kovalev next year, hopefully he gets his ass whipped.

I don't like to call boxers pussies, I make exceptions with andre dirrell and wlad.

I agree with Saad. He isn't yellow, his career has just been a huge disappointment, post MW tourney.

Do you think if you put Carl Froch in his position the career would be the same? Like fighting P Smith? Fighting only in Oakland?

Enigma is the best word I've heard describe Andre Ward. Some people have mentioned that his odd hiatuses were caused by injury or drug abuse but I just don't buy that. He seems way too smart to get tangled into drugs and he didn't appear to be limited in that last fight that 6 people saw on BET. Here's a guy that should be rolling in cash right now and his net worth is under $2m. He pulls out of an undercard mismatch fight that could have earned him 7 figures for easy work for an injury that he admits never happened. It's puzzling to me.

I love Andre Ward the announcer though, he's great.

There is something wrong with Ward mentally or physically. He may be hiding some injury or has a mental issue/substance abuse.

If not, I have a hard time explaining choices like Smith, Murdoch, Brand, Periban and why those money losing choices have been supported by RocNation.

I'd refrain from calling the man who shared the ring with (and beat) Froch, Kessler, Abraham and Bika a pussy.
But in recent years he has been infuriating and baffling in equal measure.
Everytime it looks like he is going to kick on something else seems to get in the way.

The question is if he is still the same man mentally.

This +1!!

But let's not forget that a lot of crap that happened to him regarding his court battle(s) kept him from being able to face anyone and he has had a long lay off and then a subsequent injury so it is unfair to call him a pu$$y especially since he's signed on to face Kovalev.

He deserves a soft touch entering a new weight class, many fighters usually take this route, only a rare few who jump from weight class to weight class especially going up the chain take on a top dog without a tune up bout (Felix Trinidad was about the ballsiest one to move up without it).

I think we should give him time to recover from his injury, get that tune up and then if he takes on a no-hoper/chump then in all fairness we can say he's a pu$$.

He doesn't deserve anything, his layoff was self imposed. Goosen did a great job with a guy that can't draw flies out of Oakland.

What injury. There was no injury unless he hides something. The swelled knee was just a pretext to not fight Brand (who was possibly not approved by HBO).

Is that even a serious question? How could I have a proof of that ?

There are signs of that like Ward saying that there was no injury, just swelling. He didn't even see a doctor. In some interview talking about his swelled knee and pointed to a wrong one.

You're a little boy who takes it up the wazoo, I don't need any proof-I can just say that and that makes it automatically true!!

You see how that works??

The point of this is that you shouldn't say things that you cannot validate, you wouldn't like it if someone did it to you.

That's what happens with public figures/celebrities. When their motives are unclear, people are trying to make educated guesses.

No that's what happens when people have "ulterior motives" behind what they're saying. Now you're admitting that you have no facts on top of it so obviously you have an ulterior motive for saying what you did in the first place but I suspect I know what that motive really is.

In time people have a penchant for showing their "true colors" in ways they might not have even intended.

I am not sure and don't really care what you imply. A person with such username can't be impartial.

Let's just wait and see. I am pretty sure other injuries and/or law suits will follow, and your new love will never fight Kovalev.

No he isn't.

He's a man who fought and beat allcomers in his weight category to become the undisputed champion of the world.

Then his motivation waned maybe due to his legal wranglings, maybe due to his evident superiority, maybe he just didn't wanna live the life anymore having conquered the world. We don't know.

But we do know he isn't a pussy.
