We shall see, but when the promoter who's supplying the undercard says 11,000, then I'd be inclined to believe him. I've got my info from a different source, but it's strange that the numbers were similar.

Be honest, do you want it to be a failure?

I don't care. Haye's mates won't be promoting if he gets AJ or Fury anyway, they'll be dropped like a bad habit. I want Luke Fash to turn over the house fighter though, that's about it.

I am sceptical that some 'new' people have used marketing methods that have somehow eluded established boxing promoters all this time. Branding this show as an 'event' is one thing, getting over ten thousand folk to cough up serious dough to be there on the night is another. I can't see how an easy comeback win is a legit draw at this venue. If these new promoters have managed it though, they'll not be short of offers....

Delighted to confirm we have added to the undercard for the David Haye show at the O2 16th January -

British Welterweight title eliminator for John O'Donnell (30-2) v Shayne Singleton (21-1) on 16th January

Great fight

x2. Not for a second.
I am sceptical, but if they have/do, well done to them. It's difficult to accept when the Joshua fight and Manchester show ran in concurrent weeks followed by Xmas and new year. I hope I'm wrong, good luck to them.
I don't know if I'm being naive but I assume that quite a few got bought for people as Christmas presents. Haye's big on social media and still well known. I can see a few Mums, wives and daughters buying them. I say this as my Mum (who doesn't give a toss about boxing) told me she had tried to get me a couple for Christmas but had balked at the price of the mid range seats when all the cheap ones had sold out.

We're hard to buy for, lads. This comes up and the ladies think they've found something brilliant that we'd really want.

(Secretly I was actually quite gutted as I remember those innocent, joyful days of following the Hayemaker as a genuine fan and wouldn't mind a ticket, but resent giving the smug greedy bastard any more of my cash).

Now that is a good fight and one to tune in for. I was originally just gonna tune in for the main event as the Dib fight was a horrible mismatch (no disrespect to Speight), but i do like this. Competitive, relevant and long distance - good stuff. :TU:
