He's a man who fought and beat allcomers in his weight category to become the undisputed champion of the world.

Then his motivation waned maybe due to his legal wranglings, maybe due to his evident superiority, maybe he just didn't wanna live the life anymore having conquered the world. We don't know.

But we do know he isn't a pussy.
Exactly. He was not a pussy, but then started behaving like one, and we don't know why.

More guesses: substance (e.g. pain killers) abuse or another mental issue.

To be fair a lot of the top boxers in all eras have taken fights or made defences against opposition deemed to be below their level, its frustrating but nothing new.

Not for the amount of time Ward has, some may take an easy fight between tough fights but he has wasted just about 3 years! He's lost all respect.

I agree. My guess is also substance abuse and/or a mental illness like depression. When Cooney and Pryor "disappeared" it was the nose candy. Just sayn....

He's wasted 4 years in my opinion.

His win against Dawson looks pretty worthless now and it didn't seem very good at the time anyway.

Ward is already making money off his name. HBO and the Creed movie. Probably making the same amount of money or more fighting the caliber of fighters he recently fought.

I agree, if he fought him at LHW then it would of looked good but to fight him at 168 makes it look like Dawson struggled to drain down and has not recovered since.

It ruined Dawson's career.

I never rated him that highly anyway, but he was a lot better before his daft trip to super middleweight.

Ward's last 4 opponents.

Paul Smith, British Champion 35-6

Edwin Rodriguez, unbeaten when he fought Ward and since. 28-1

Chad Dawson was a world champion and beat other world champions. 33-4

Carl Froch I presume you know him! 33-2

All world level except Smith!

Now GGG's last 4 opponents

David Lemieux 34-3, The only world champion in GGG's last four but got stopped by Marco Antonio Rubio

Willie Monroe Jr, best win was against Brian Vera who Rocky Fielding stopped! (say's it all) a feather fisted 19-2

Martin Murray Probably GGG's best opponent, out of these 4, Has lost every time he has stepped up into world level, since losing to GGG, Murray has gone on and lost Again at world level, a spit decision to Arthur Abrahams who went life and death with Ward's weakest opponent Smith. 32-3-1

Marco Antonio Rubio, one fight since and lost, 59-8-1 Comical!

1 world champion out of those opponents, Lemieux, who got stopped by the worst one on the list Marco Antonio Rubio

So you see my friend, considering the levels of both Ward and GGG, you can say that GGG, has been fighting far easier opposition than Ward :TU:

Let's just wait and see. I am pretty sure other injuries and/or law suits will follow, and your new love will never fight Kovalev.
This is pretty typical of a response when one has been owned or spotlighted, that is to hurl an insult when you have nothing of substance to come back with. In your case you have been exposed for LYING and having ZERO Facts.

Now instead of trying to prove your lies are the truth you find it easier to just hurl an insult.

Exactly what I expected.

Periban is not that bad of an opponent, especially for a 1st fight at a weight/tune-up.

Put in that vein, it is an OK fight.

I also think that them wanting Sullivan is legit; it will be Sullivan who will step away if the fight is not
made, so how the OP can somehow put it on Ward (as if Andre knows exactly what the undefeated young
lightheavy and his promoters will do) is kinda 'tarded.

Andre has signed a contract with HBO that makes a showdown with Kovalev (the only other guy that has
a legit claim to P4P #1 other than Ward or Chocolatito), so that automatically makes speculation on his
courage a bowl of warmed over horse manure.

But, whatever....

You always resort to insulting when someone disagrees with you or spotlights your bias, it's like you have nothing left more intelligent to say so you resort to the lowest common denominator just like Ricky, I wonder if you two are the same person.

OMG, you're right!

Same idiotic posts, same lack of salient facts, same wacko opinions which have
one foot barely clinging to reality and the other firmly planted in OZ.

We may need to consult the mods here....

Clearly either accidental or done well enough there is no way he can be warned for it.

It is as much a function of Kessler falling in/not stepping around after his cross as it is Ward lunching in to tie up.

Whatever you say, Brut. Anybody with eyes sees that it was intentional like this one

and few others.

I see that they are both coming forward, it look as if Ward is trying to slip a punch and counter with one at the same time and then ducks low to avoid the shot as they are both coming forward their heads clash, sh*t happens, this is boxing.

Did AW do it any other times in this fight??

But I guess you just can't simply see things this way unless you are somehow nuthugging based on your little angry man opinion, huh Ricky??

Of course, he did. Enjoy this one, for example: http://s6.photobucket.com/user/killacas ... A.gif.html

... and don't be ridiculous calling me Ricky. I am Russian, and he isn't.

By the way, Brut. Why are you using two alts on the same thread ?
