Ian Gardner fought Joe Lorenzi on Monday, March 17th. You can find his record under the name Giovanni Lorenzi (from the Dominican Republic). I think he is 6-0, not 0-0.

Please double check this info. Giovanni Lorenzo was not listed as the opponent by fightnews, ealboxing and i beleive the boston herald.

I would doubt its the 6-0 jr middleweight former olympian who is or is close to beiing signed by main events.

That's because he was a last minute sub for the fight. Another editor e-mailed about this and he suggested that Ian fought Giovanni Lorenzi (Check the thread "Joe Lorenzi" about 5 days ago). How many Dominicans are there named Gio. Lorenzi anyway? I know for sure it wasn't this guy's pro debut...

If I'm "the other editor", I'd like to clarify that the Joe Lorenzi you could not find in the database looked like it could be Giovanny Lorenzo from DR/NY (based upon the similarity in name) but that was merely a suggestion, not fact.

Sorry for the confusion.

It's not. The guy he fought was from Minnesota. I can't find a record for him though.

On the bright side, I am 100% sure it's not Giovanni Lorenzo as well :)

Hi.

I'm trying to find more info on the net. I found something about a "Joe Lorenzi" having a 1-1 record in Nov. 2002.

Source: <http://www.google.ca/search?q=cache:JhV ... n&ie=UTF-8>

This other article says that "Joe Lorenzi" from Duluth, Minnesota would be 4-2 after his loss to Ian.

Source:
<http://www.google.ca/search?q=cache:TUj ... n&ie=UTF-8>

This info seems to show that there is 2 people: Joe Lorenzi and Giovanni Lorenzi.

Cheers!

According to this article:
<http://www.google.ca/search?q=cache:4uO ... n&ie=UTF-8>

Dos Santos would be 17-8, not 1-2. ???

Here's another article that refers to Luis dos Santos as 17-8, after his defeat to Sam Garr:

I'm just wondering how you calculate your ratings. Will it make a difference for Ian's World Rank if you change this guy's record to 17-8, instead of 1-2? Or do you get your ratings from some other source anyway?
