If I'm managing BJS I'd have him in with a US fighter is early 2016 to raise his profile there, Eubank jr in the summer on UK PPV and then Golovkin in late 2016 on US or UK PPV. Whichever generates the most...

Lots of good options for Saunders. Lee or Eubank rematches would be fairly lucrative. Would love to see GGG over here but BJS should have a defence or two first and let him grow into a champion before taking on GGG.

Would love to see this fight I actually believe Saunders would win a few of the early rounds before he tires, and then as soon as he stops moving ggg starts catching him with the bombs and take Saunders out around 6-7. Boxing is a business and if the money is down I believe we will see this fight

To risk his belt and lose these smaller but plentiful paydays would be absolutly shite management , unless he gets offered a figure too good to be refused .

He doesn't want to fight GGG. He's the only man Billy doesn't want to fight. He's admitted it in a few IFL interviews.

Although in this thread we are putting billy under the spotlight, isn't it time golovkin started to face serious competition befitting his position in the sport instead of lining up easy pay days ? The last thing we need is a middleweight situation like the 175lb division. Stevenson and kovalev dodge each other whilst making yet more lucrative soft touch defences. I do think in 2016 GGG needs to face a big, big name, even if he has to go up to 168lbs. I am fed up of fighters like ward treading water year after year, they need to start fighting each other. In fairness to BJS he has only just arrived at world title level, it's a bit rich for GGG to devour him the moment he has arrived on the world stage. GGG has been there for years, it's time he had a mega fight.

I think Golovkin would love a mega fight - the trouble is, all the other 'elite' fighters aren't interested.

Free publicity for Saunders. Just to raise his profile. Khan has done it for years.

Warren/Saunders owe it to the fans to take this fight ASAP,Golovkins the clear No1,people harp on about the ABC's then find it acceptable to make safe defences time and again, this isnt a slight on BJS,dont hate the player and all that but i have no real interest in world champs fighting unranked opponents like Ward,Kelly etc

Again not a dig at Kelly or Ward, fair play to them for taking the shots but im not long up and cant be arsed with BJS's first defence against the WBO's no15 ;;-)

I've no doubt Billy Jo would take the fight and I don't believe for one minute he'd be shitting himself, he's a fighting man and he'll fight anyone.

He has no chance of winning though, he would get stopped eventually like everyone else does against Golovkin.
Golovkin is just a man.

Top 5 P4P fighters tend to get vastly overrated and treated like unstoppable machines, that it is laughable that any merely world class opponent can defeat. Then they lose.

If Saunders can sort his stamina issues out then he is a threat.

Blow Job Saunders admitted in his post fight interview that the reason he didn't go after Lee when he had him hurt was because he felt Andy's power so spend the rest of the fight playing safe. Now no one really saw Lee land much of a punch in the third, but if Blow Job was scared of Lee's power from a glancing shot, GGG will make him sh1t his pants and bang him out in 5 rounds. No way Blow Job has the guts to fight GGG

He may be just a man but he's a man who is levels above Saunders and anyone else in his division.

I am just a man too, but trust me Golovkin is knocking me cold in about ten seconds. :DD

He didn't say he felt Lee's power at all, he felt a punch land as he went for the finish that didn't hurt him, but having seen what happened to Jackson and Korobov when they took chances, he decided to settle down and stuck to the game plan for the rest of the fight.

Lee is probably a bigger one shot puncher than Golovkin.

He didn't feel Lee's power, but he felt a punch, and in his peanut brain he immediately thought of lee's KO wins, and so decided to stick to the 'game plan' which consisted of running and hardly landing any punches for the rest of the fight. Hmmmmm right. Great strategy. Not in the least bit convincing. Either way GGG would destroy Blow Job's so-called plastic world champion claims and Ko him brutally in 5 rounds. Anyway Blow Job has admitted he wants no part of GGG, so he may be more intelligent than I have given him credit for.....

Fighter taking previous stoppages into account and not leaving himself open is in theory the smart thing to do but obviously this doesn't excuse his pathetic output for the rest of the fight.

I can't see how BJS could win but I agree with Horse that if he sorted his stamina he would be a tough fight for GG. Unfortunately him sorting his stamina is about as likely as Malignaggi developing one punch power. I don't think it's something he is just going to find from somewhere. Saunders starts to get battered after 4 rounds. It would be massively out of character for Warren to take this fight though, never going to happen

What's your problem?

Saunders beat Lee for the title and they were both top 10 ranked before the fight, so he is hardly the least credible world champion going.

Stop calling him "Blow Job". It makes you look like a complete prat.

A lot of suggestions here about this being Fwank's first SKY PPV.

But I do wonder if either Bill Joe or GGG are truly big enough names to justify that?

Obviously we all know who they are, but the average punter, not so much. Its a sad story but I'd imagine the rematch with Chris Jr would be a bigger deal for the casuals & get far higher numbers.

GGG would be a ballsy fight for your first defence, just hope if it happens he gets well paid.

Ok... Can I call him Blow Hard Saunders? He talks big but doesn't really bring it; much prefers to scrape decisions. And yes, he is acceptable in the top 10, but as a genuine world champ he's one of the worst claimants at any weight t. He'll soon get get beaten and forgotten. I would put Eubank Jnr as favourite if they have a rematch.

The guy will fight anyone, he's unbeaten and he's a world champion. He deserves respect. If it's that easy lets see you try and do what he's done. Even if he's fifth / sixth best in his division do you realise what it takes to achieve that in world boxing?

Calling him names says far more about you than it does about Billy Joe. you don't gain any respect doing things like that.
