Are you a complete idiot ? What f4cking proof can you expect here ? Ward saying that his knee was just a pretext to not fight Brand or Ward saying that he did those headbutts deliberately ? Do you have at least some brains ?

Did Andre Dirrell ever accept that he was faking his convulsions to get Abraham DQed ? Does it mean that it was not the case ???

Ward's last 4 opponents.

Paul Smith, British Champion 35-6

Edwin Rodriguez, unbeaten when he fought Ward and since. 28-1

Chad Dawson was a world champion and beat other world champions. 33-4

Carl Froch I presume you know him! 33-2

All world level except Smith!

Now GGG's last 4 opponents

David Lemieux 34-3, The only world champion in GGG's last four but got stopped by Marco Antonio Rubio

Willie Monroe Jr, best win was against Brian Vera who Rocky Fielding stopped! (say's it all) a feather fisted 19-2

Martin Murray Probably GGG's best opponent, out of these 4, Has lost every time he has stepped up into world level, since losing to GGG, Murray has gone on and lost Again at world level, a spit decision to Arthur Abrahams who went life and death with Ward's weakest opponent Smith. 32-3-1

Marco Antonio Rubio, one fight since and lost, 59-8-1 Comical!

1 world champion out of those opponents, Lemieux, who got stopped by the worst one on the list Marco Antonio Rubio

So you see my friend, considering the levels of both Ward and GGG, you can say that GGG, has been fighting far easier opposition than Ward :TU:
You're comparing one year of ggg's career to four years of ward's. Take ggg's cv back that far and you can count 13 knockouts. And why talk about their last four opponents anyway? Nobody's knocking ward for beating froch and Dawson; the point is that he dropped off the face of the earth afterward.

GGG :TU:
Is taking, as in these days. Froch was 4 years ago. GGGs HBO debut was 1 week prior to Ward beating dead at the weight Dawson. Since then

GGG has 10 wins, 6 Ring top ten, including fellow beltholder.
Ward has 2 wins, over a fringe contender, and a non contender going up in weight. Lately making offers to other blown up no hopers.

No the point was "Name me 1 boxer with skills the level he has who is taking easier fights"

Ward has beaten far more superior fighters than GGG, therefore GGG has had easier fights. Nothing was said anything about inactivity that wasn't the question :TU:

Exactly, the question contains "is taking" -- present tense. What happened 4+ years ago is irrelevant when answering this question.

Any man who gets in the boxing ring in front of thousands of people and is watched by potentially million is no pussy.

the matchmaking has been laughable to say the least but respect where it's due he gets in the ring and does what he is supposed to do even if it is against lesser boxers

So Garcia deserved respect for facing Salka? Wilder deserved request for facing Molina?

Speaking about Ward, he barely gets into the ring in the last 4 years ... and he deserves huge respect for trying to face Murdoch, Brand and Periban at 175.

Well done give yourself a pat on the back, My English is sh.it :TU: but the record shows that GGG has had easier opponents than Ward over the years, with his best wins coming over 2 Englishmen who are both fringe contenders.

Again I admit horrible horrible matching there, but they got the job done like they were supposed to so in that way well done to them.

but going back to ward again I admit he's fought once a year for the last few years and not at all in 2014, your right he does need to fight an established light heavyweight to be relevant in his division and no more fighting super middle weights. He's looking for an opponent for the 26st of march 2016, he needs to fight a top ten name to prove he belongs there and still wants to do anything for his career.

Andre Ward

2013 - 1 fight, 0 KO - Edwin Rodriguez (24-0, was weight drained, Oakland home referee Jack Reiss helped Ward)
2014 - 0 fights
2015 - 1 fight, 1 KO - Paul Smith (35-5, coming off 2 losses, not top 10, in Oakland, had him move up in weight)

TOTAL: 2 fights (2-0, 1 KO) Both of these fights were in Ward's home town

Gennady Golovkin

2013 - 4 fights, 4 KOs - Curtis Stevens (25-3, top 10 MW) G. Rosado (21-5) N. Ishida (24-8) M. Macklin (29-4, top 10 MW)
2014 - 3 fights, 3 KOs - Marco Antonio Rubio (59-6-1, Top 10 MW) Daniel Geale (30-2, Top 5 MW) Osumanu Adama (22-3)
2015 - 3 fights, 3 KOs - David Lemieux (34-2, IBF champion, top 5 MW) Willie Monroe (19-1) Martin Murray (29-1-1, top 5 MW)

TOTAL: 13 fights (13-0,13 KOs) None of these fights were in Golovkin's home country

Ward has been inactive but the quality of opposition is far superior to GGG :TU:
Martin Murray got robbed in Argentina against Martinez, so if the judges made the right decision Murray would have had the claim to lineal MW champion.

Now compare that to the Englishman Ward fought Paul Smith, Smith lost to a green George Groves and James DeGale, he lost twice to Abraham and has NEVER beat anyone above British title level.

Do you still think Ward's level of opposition has been better?

He may be close, but he will not dare to get into the ring with Kova. His knee starts swelling from just a thought about fighting Sergey.

That's incredible, that the defense of him is now that he's "close" to fighting somebody that matters.

Ward should now be considered way past his prime if he is not willing to step up, 2 fights in 4 years is a part time fighter, when he has fought kovalev, then you can claim it, until then ward has lost his nerve

As long as Kovalev gets by Pascal it should be a go for Ward v Kovalev early in the new year.

So whats going on with his next fight? I was really looking forward to Barrera clash. If this doesn't happen and if he goes for that fat has been, Periban, that would be the last straw. I will put Ward firmly in the pussy basement along with Wilders, Quillins and Leo Santa Cruzes of the world. You've been warned SOG.
