Hopefully he has a unification fight next year and we can all see just how good he is.

Khan only has one win in the last 12 months and that was only against Algieri with a fairly disappointing performance.Stuarty30 wrote:Good list as always Horse. Khan is far too high for me. He's stagnated a bit waiting about IMO. BJS should be a bit higher up.
Hope so too. He controls fights and the tempo the opponent fights at. He's very underrated he doesn't lose many roundsHorse wrote:I don't see what many others see in Selby.ThereByTheGrace wrote:Not in a million years is mcdonell higher than Selby. Selby should be top 5.

Reckon I'd win UD12 though
The two wins against Kameda are good, but they were very close fights and I think Khan and Frampton are a more proven at this point.jaymitch81 wrote:McDonnell should be above Khan and Frampton imo.
I scored both of their recent losses in their favour, so for me they are both still world class fighters with solid records.jaymitch81 wrote:Murray and Afolabi also too high up.
Saunders' stamina problems make me doubt how long he can hang at world level.rd350lc wrote:yep , BJS should be above Murray .
Flanagan is just too unproven for me. He will move up a few places if he beats Mathews though.digzee wrote:Flanagan ahead of Haskins, Groves, Bellew and Afolabi for me at least, I would have him in the top 10 too but I admit i'm a bit biased as I am a big fan.
Definitely.rd350lc wrote:yep , BJS should be above Murray .
You're arguing again already.davie wrote:Bellew always seems too high for me.Boxerbeetle wrote:Bellew seems too high to me.
Why is Frampton more proven than Jamie? He beat Kiko twice in Britain where Jamie went to America twice and beat Kameda who many were convinced would beat Jamie with ease.Horse wrote:The two wins against Kameda are good, but they were very close fights and I think Khan and Frampton are a more proven at this point.jaymitch81 wrote:McDonnell should be above Khan and Frampton imo.

Flanagan might be the best lightweight in the world, but lightweight is a weak division with hardly any proven world level fighters.davie wrote:I know you've just said you largely igone the titles. But many people here and abroad think Flannigan is the best lightweight on the planet.
As for Crolla, I had him outside of world class.
But I put that down to me not knowing what I was talking about.
The 2 performances against Perez and the eventual stoppage win surely count for something at world level. Even though I didn't rate him he has to get more credit than 18th place for those results
Doing it abroad instead of at home doesn't add much for me. There's not a great deal in it, but I think the two Martinez wins are better than the two Kameda wins.jaymitch81 wrote:Why is Frampton more proven than Jamie? Neither are far too high in any way.keithmoonhangover wrote:If comments are indeed welcome, then....
Degale is far too high, so is Martin Murray
Why not?keithmoonhangover wrote:and Maccarinelli shouldn't be anywhere near the top 30.
Because Groves is a good fighter.keithmoonhangover wrote:Why is Groves so high also - what's he done to deserve that rating? You do know he's lost three fights in the recent past.
For me, this is a prime case of ability vs resume.jaymitch81 wrote:Why is Frampton more proven than Jamie? Is Kameda any better than Martinez? Martinez has a better record for me.davie wrote:For me, this is a prime case of ability vs resume.
I agree that the 2 Kameda wins are better than beating Kiko. But I'd go with Frampton higher in the list because IMHO, he is a better fighter.
I can't give examples or evidence for this based on acheivements other than the evidence of my own judgement and that I think he looks the more talented and complete fighter
Put it this way. Jamie is 5'10" and Carl is 5'5". Jamie could comfotably step up to Super bantam and fight Carl. And I'd bet my house of a Frampton win.

Frampton also beat Martinez a lot more clearly than McDonnell beat Kameda.
