Why boxing fans call Artur Szpilka a bum?

Post by conty22 »

It makes me mad . He is number ranked one in POLAND . He is pretty confident and he is not a school teacher as most of Wilder's opponents.

Povetkin fought slow robotic Wach and no one had problem lol . Szpilka is much dangerous than Wach .

Wach is very slow , he has 50% KO ratio over bums !

Wach is a simply punching bag for any top30 boxer! All he has is a chin .

People know Wach only because he was a punching bag for Wladimir.

There is notting impressive about Wach and Szpilka would beat him via UD.

Szpilka won Against Adamek .

Adamek houlds some notable wins like against Steve Cunninham or Eddie Chambers

Don't tell me that this guy is a bum :OhYes:

Its simple. Anyone Wilder has fought was either a bum before he fought them, or after.

Bum is a harsh word but he's little more than that.

He was barely competitive with Jennings who isn't even that good himself.

Still he is better than Wach. There is so much hype about Povetkin's last opponents.

Dohoupas is better than Charr

Szpilka is better than Wach

Stiverne and Perez - I believe Stiverne wins this via UD or very close match

Takam is better than Molina or Scott

So wtf is that ? Anyone who Povetkin fights is very good

But anyone who Wilder fights is a bum ?

Boxing fans are hypocrites.

After Wilder beats Povetkin , they will call him a small bum and they will find another hero

Ok, do us a favor and give us your best description of Wilder's "competition" (with the exception of Stiverne) up to this moment.

I don't like the word "bum" unless I'm in certain countries describing a healthy female ass, but Wilder's resume is not replete with big game trophies.

Szpilka is not a head of livestock waiting in line for the slaughter.

Excuse me for the interruption. You seem to be working this out quite well for yourself.

Szpilkva is not a bum. you made one mistake though, Wilder doesn't fight school teachers, he fights former light heavyweight journeymen who became cab drivers. But that was a few years ago, Deontay has stepped up to top 10, 15 guys like Stiverne and Spilkva. Art is a good solid contender.

The problem everyone has with Wilder is that he should have been fighting the likes of Szpilka 3 years ago....

Because he never earned his title shot, he didn't even fight Scott until Chisora beat him first.

And tell me how Wach got a shot for silver belt against Povetkin ? Wach is only know for being a punching bag for Wladimir.

He has got 50% KO ratio against bums and he is very slow and robotic.

If Povetkin fights only best guys acording to his fans , why he did not fight Joshua , Pulev or someone better? Wach is even worse than Douhoupas.

Exactly. While it would have been nice to see Wilder brought along a bit quicker, he has no doubt improved his game over the last three years, and it is time to judge him on what he does going forward. Szpilka is a decent start to 2016 for Wilder. If he ends up fighting Szpilka, Glazkov and Povetkin in 2016, critics will be few.

I like Wilder and Fury and Joshua and Parker and Ortiz and Povetkin. They can't avoid each other much longer.

You hold beating Stiverne for one of many belts against him? Team Wilder is doing something right, even if it is just building a solid hater base.

Wilder did more than most title contenders to earn his shot.

Wilder hasn't set the world alight, but he does have one of the best records in the division and he is slowly going about improving his record further.

How many top 10 fighters did he beat to earn his shot?

How many top 10 fighters do most world title challengers face before getting their shot?

Why are you holding Wilder to a higher standard than everyone else?

Because there are boxers working there ass off for an opportunity but then others who are gifted the opportunity because they have a big promoter.

I guess for you lot rankings don't matter, as long as you are with a big promoter you get what you want and that's fair enough.

He got his title shot and won via domination.

I don't the point in hating on him because he didn't take on 5 world class fighters before he got his shot.

He's the champion now and he's fighting a mostly decent level of opposition for a paper champion.

But Wilder won easily, so he was a worthy contender.

Like who?

Haskins bet both Hall and McDonnell and they got an opportunity before him, there are loads of contenders who can only get a title shot by going through a mandatory route while others don't have to.
