Canelo will fight Monroe or Rosado

Ugh, instead of the Golovkin/Canelo fight that the whole world wants to see, we get to spin our wheels for another 6 months with Canelo/Monroe and Golovkin/Johnson.

This is the problem with boxing.

I dont mind Monroe vs Alvarez one bit. It's a solid fight against a contender. If Monroe wants to agree to a catchweight thats his choice.

Alvarez vs Rosado is not something that should be in a conversation let alone a ring in 2016. Rosado has took a lot of punishment, he is not championship level, he is at best a mid level gatekeeper in his career. Matching him against Saul is dangerous.

Except the ABCs have no real authority and add no value. If Canelo and Golovkin fought without any belts on the line, would the PPV buyrate be any lower? If Golovkin got stripped of a title in order to fight someone worthy instead of Tureano Johnson, would the HBO ratings be any lower?

More fighters and promoters need to grow balls and stop giving the ABCs any respect.

Where exactly did I criticize Canelo? I just said that there is no way Monroe can beat him. I was actually unhappy every time GGG fought somebody feather-fisted which included both Monroe and Murray, as there is absolutely no way except an injury those guys could beat Gennady. Geale was ok just because he is a former champion. I am more excited about fights like Lemieux or even Rubio where opponents have at least puncher's chance.

For the record i never claimed you criticized Canelo but I did create the idea that you had given GGG a pass for facing Monroe (Please show me where you were being critical of Golovkin facing him because I never saw anything but praise from you for Triple G) but you made this comment I found in regards to Canelo facing Monroe:

I do believe that GBP is trying to milk Canelo's new MW title in order to make some extra bucks in between before he risk what many of us (present party included) believe that GGG will put an end to Saul's reign.

I like both fighters, their fans however can be quite a nuisance because either or are too biased but I'm always fair so I'm just calling it how I see it.

We know though that Canelo outside of Pacquiao may have the best resume in the sport out of active fighters and has sparred with Triple G may times so we know it isn't out of fear that he isn't facing him, this is about milking the cow.

Canelo easily beats both guys. Monroe is the tougher opponent because of his speed, movement and boxing ability but Canelo would wear him down. Rosado would have no shot. Rosado and Monroe have bigger names, because they fought Golovkin (Rosado has more exposure), and they are the of same level as Wade, Douglas and Johnson. Neither DLH, nor Haymon will risk putting Canelo and Khytrov against each other.

IF it is at full 160, I would prefer Monroe over Rosado, but would prefer a top 10 guy over either. One of the Charlo brothers, or Andrade would actually be my first pick if not a top 10 guy from 160. All of these guys have fought above the super welterweight/Jr middle a time or two and would be much more competitive.
