David Haye has a soft opponent he’s facing in Mark De Mori on January 16th, and he’s now bragging about how he’s going to KO the guy.
I’ve seen some of De Mori’s fights, and he pretty much doesn’t impress me at all. He looks like a part time bodybuilder more so than a fighter, and he’s not exactly the fastest guy in the ring.
De Mori has been fighting 2nd tier fighters for years, and it seems like a failure to launch with the way that he’s babied his career.
De Mori has been fighting for 12 years, and he should have already stepped up by now, don’t you think? If it were me, I would have gotten it over with by now to see if I was any good.
I’d take on a top talent to see where I stood as a fighter rather than fighting guys like Macel Zeller, Radenko Kovav, Zelko Bojic and Marino Goles. Sadly, those are De Mori’s last four opponents.
“I’m excited too and I’m sure everyone at the O2 arena are going to be thrilled by us really going at it,” Haye said. “I know you’re the Dominator and you really want to dominate me but unfortunately, I’m going to rip out the Haymaker and get you down for the count.”
Oh brother, Haye is really making a big production about De Mori’s padded record. Come on, man. The only reason De Mori has a mess of KO wins on his resume is because he’s been fighting fodder opponents. That’s the way I see it.

I seriously doubt it.Totalpac wrote:

"Having a huge number of ways to block and throw every punch is the key and add some showboating and you have #sexyboxing"
You can pull that shite with the nobodies with no hope you have padded your record with Mark. But try that stuff on the 16th and Haye will put you to sleep real quick.

Straight from the horse's mouth:

I will never be agile like Ali or have the reach of Klitschko, but I have the power to knock out a horse so we focused on building my strategy around that power.

Apparently Mark de Mori sends his training and sparring videos to Tim Witherspoon in the States for his feedback. Has been doing it for years.

Tim must have amazing patience and a sense of humour if he's been vetting de Mori's amateurish efforts.Like a Boss wrote:Apparently Mark de Mori sends his training and sparring videos to Tim Witherspoon in the States for his feedback. Has been doing it for years.
No point Mark sending a video of the Haye fight for Tim's perusal.
Witherspoon should already have a good idea how that's going to pan out.

FYI, I've had a successful test streaming Dave TV here
http://www.watchallchannels.com/dave-tv-html/
You'll need to use a VPN router and I used Tunnelbear which was also super simple to use.

I'll be interested to see how many times de Mori manages to get up off the canvas before staying there.

Re: David Haye vs Mark de Mori - January 16th
Expect a heavier and probably stronger David Haye at the weekend than we have become accustomed to :
"Instead of dieting down I've been packing the food in, eating every two, two and a half hours".
'I'm setting alarms to make sure I eat, that the weight doesn't get too low.'
'In my old training camps, I used to come in around 15 stone - I'd lose a stone just cutting my food down.
'The general consensus back then was, the lighter I am, the closer I am to cruiserweight, the faster I will be. That's all well and good, but when you're cutting weight down so low, and sparring big guys, I get injured.
'I'm not as ripped as I was in my last few fights, but it's not a bodybuilding competition. I'm more ripped than De Mori though.'

5:58 "I've got physique like a T-Rex"
Doing their best to sell it. If De Mori fights like that, it won't last long
He's right though - only chance he's got
The shaking hands at the end was heart-warming

On fightnews https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCyObDr0FRo Lucas Brown mentions going toe to toe with de Mori in sparing and admits he can take a punch. Who punches harder Browne or Haye?
Well its only 2 days to go to find out if Mark can beat the Hayemaker

Re: David Haye vs Mark de Mori - January 16th
Agree with this article so much I might as well have written it myself :
http://www.sportsfan.com.au/odds-agains ... fault.aspx
David Haye returns to the boxing ring for the first time in over three and a half years when he fights Australia's Mark de Mori at London's 02 Arena.
The heavyweight has made no secret of his desire to win another world title, to challenge WBO and WBA champion Tyson Fury and to fight the promising Anthony Joshua, but in De Mori on Saturday he is returning against the most over-matched opponent of his professional career.
As is so often the case when a fighter makes his comeback, the outcome of Saturday's fight will be decided by how much Haye still has, as opposed to anything De Mori is likely to be able to challenge him with.
When he last fought, in July 2012 when stopping Dereck Chisora in five rounds, the now-35-year-old remained the fastest and most mobile fighter in his division and showed few of the physical signs of wear and tear that affect almost every fighter who reaches the very top. He had lost twice, without ever taking a true beating, and retained the reflexes that inspired the explosive style which was such a strength.
Since then, however, because of injuries he has withdrawn from two scheduled fights with Fury and another with Manuel Charr, most recently in November 2013 because of a shoulder condition that threatened his career.
It is unlikely the reflexes which gave him such a reliable defence and lethal offence remain, and his previous speed will also be undermined by him weighing in at a career-high 16st 3lbs. Not that you would know it to hear him speak.
"It's the unknown because nobody knows what I've got left, except me," he said.
"I believe I know what I've got but until I get in the ring and prove it, it's just me being confident. I've got everything I used to have and then some. I've got experience now.
"People are saying this will be the tricky one, the first fight back is the tricky one. Is the opponent too tough? Is he not tough enough? You don't want somebody who will get knocked out by the first punch but you do you want him to be there for 10 rounds?"
The reality is that even if Haye has significantly declined, it would come as a huge shock for De Mori to last anywhere near 10 rounds. At 6ft 2ins he is an inch shorter than Haye, and on Friday tipped the scales at 110kg.
