I'm going mate, genuinely. :TU: Get yersel down the smoke.

It looks like the bulk of the tickets left are in the cheap seats - the £80 range went ages ago. I wonder if some of the bleachers will be closed. Surely it can't sell out the whole place? I might be wrong though.

Really? You're going to buy a ticket for this? You know your boxing , are you an eccentric millionaire, or just a complete boops?

Apparently Haye says on the Claire Balding show (shown on BT Sport tonight or BBC 2 tomorrow) that they've done around 14,000

I thought the arena was set up for 10-12k ?

I suppose all the speculation will be put to bed on fight night. Whilst there are plenty of people hoping this fails for whatever reason, for the overall sake of boxing I hope it does ok.

Here's the press release from Dave.

http://corporate.uktv.co.uk/news/articl ... ack-fight/

"David Haye v Mark De Mori (TBC) will be shown live from the O2 and has been ordered by UKTV director of commissioning Richard Watsham and Dave general manager Steve North. The two-hour special (9pm - 11pm) will include highlights from the day's boxing at the O2, live music performances and live studio discussions plus all the action from the ringside."

"I'm thrilled to be giving our viewers a ringside seat to this hotly-anticipated boxing match and, with Dave's own spin on the event, helping to show the sport in a brand new light."

David Haye suggested in his interview with Kugan yesterday they're looking to present / package the broadcast differently from what we're used to.

When I see a press release for a boxing show from a channel that doesn't have a background in sports broadcasting and it's touting "live music performances" as a selling point, well, it doesn't fill me with confidence.

Yeah, probably a show best recorded then watched later so you can skip the filler crap.

Good point. But would you rather pay £16.95 plus £20 a month plus a year's commitment to watch it on Sky?
