Really? Thompson himself said recently he is well up for it and he doesn't think Haye is. Could well be a load of bullshit from Booth there.Kevin wrote:Apparently Adam Booth has left Dennis Hobson four messages for the rematch with Carl Thompson, but no one has bothered to return his callsnickd wrote:So much for the Thompson rematch! That guy's record looks pretty average it will prob be a blowout.
Lasse Johansen Next up for Haye
I think Haye should leave Carl Thompson alone & go other avenues, i don't think he has much to gain from beating Carl, the only positive i see is erasing that loss.
I think Haye should just take that loss on the chin
& just put it down to lack of experience, many boxers have suffered early ko defeats & have gone on to bigger & better thing i.e. O'Neill Bell, Nigel Benn, Chris Byrd, John Ruiz, Pac-Man etc etc etc

I say owned as in lost as well my fellow Boxrec member.nickd wrote:Owned by Nelson? Nelson won the first 8 rounds then got on his bike and got dropped and hurt. He won but it was pretty close on the cards. That hardly constitutes being 'owned'. For 'owned' see Mayweather v Gatti....Max Molyneux wrote:Way Haye's mandatory was that guy who got owned by Nelson too!![]()
Too bad Moloney ain't with Warren no more, Haye on ITV would be great!
Haye by KO in less than 4. 8)
Yes Gatti was viciously owned.
Why did Haye leave Fight Academy for Moloney anyway?
Haye like most boxers have pride to avenge though.I think Haye should just take that loss on the chin & just put it down to lack of experience, many boxers have suffered early ko defeats & have gone on to bigger & better thing i.e. O'Neill Bell, Nigel Benn, Chris Byrd, John Ruiz, Pac-Man etc etc etc
Glad to see he is active but I hope it doesn't count as one of his 4, maybe he is trying to get some rounds. I would like to see Tompson and also Hobson who would both be legitimate defences of the Euro title.
In terms of the world scen I recon he should try to fight in the states the Yanks will love him with that power and being a pretty boy he should get a shot.

Think Haye was probably getting pissed off fighting in bracknell and brentwood in leisure centres where he had no fan base.Max Molyneux wrote:I say owned as in lost as well my fellow Boxrec member.nickd wrote:Owned by Nelson? Haye really should be fighting in London, he's a bermondsey boy after all, and the Maloney's are london promoters through and through.
In principle it's a good move, and perhaps Haye is hoping that Maloney can do the big London sell when he moves up to heavyweight.

I recon promotionaly it was a good thing to do because he should be a lot bigger than he is. When my housemate saw the Gurov fight on eurosport he said "your having a laugh, and the fcukers good lucking, he is going to make a mint.... bastard" add the fact he can talk to that and you wonder what FA have been doing (possibly FA) to not get him a bigger following, if he did the local schools circut and public work outs like froch does that would help make him at least a home town hero.

Or something.
unless he's waiting for the Nelson-Macca winner. If Haye's targeting the winner, and ultimately O'Neil Bell, in a short time frame, he's almost certainly going to pick up a loss along the way.
