That's true 9-0 professionally, 7-0-1 amateur and 2-0 in the UFC, just hope he gets matched up fairly and not thrown to a big name too soon.
And it was Michael Page I meant to name earlier 9-0 professionally, 5-0 in bellator and a world level kickboxer well before he ever got in the cage

Page has that Anderson Silva type athleticism about his striking. The problem is that he has very little else to back it up. Silva was great off of his back. I think when Page eventually ends up in that position against a truly world class wrestler/grappler, he's gonna be in trouble.
It's been four days and I still can't get over how bad that decision was . I hope Carlos dosent retire, he seemed to be hinting at it in some interviews.
Well what's next? Werdum vs Velasquez II? I'm gonna go with Fabricio, he's really come into his own recently, can stand with the best of them now.
I tell you what though, if it's true that MIocic is getting the next shot, he'd be a handful for any of them

Yeah Stipe deserves it.
Stipe will probably get it, but Overeem deserves it more. Stipe just lost to JDS 2 fights ago. Overeem is on a 3 fight win streak and just koed JDS. They should go ahead and set up an eliminator bout between Stipe/Overeem to get the winner of Werdum/Velasquez.

Fair point, plus Reem already has a win over him. Thing is with Overeem is before those 3 wins, he lost 3 of 4, all by KO. He's made up for it now though to be fair. The HW division is a merry-go-round of KOs. Very hard to put a run of wins together.
I think Reem is gonna be the next challenger. Werdum/Cain II is only 1 month away so I don't think they'll do another eliminator.
Sadly JDS appears to be shot despite being one of the youngest guys in the division. Reem is ultra-beatable but JDS could just not pull the trigger or apply any pressure at all. Those beatings Cain put on him really changed him.
The rumour is UFC 197 in March will be Dos Anjos v Macgregor and Holm v Tate.
Both good fights. Though I hope the ufc keep their word and make sure Edgar gets the next featherweight title fight, even if it ain't against Connor

Did you see/hear Edgar's recent interview with Ariel? He's getting more and more pisssed off, says the UFC keep saying one thing and doing another. Always liked Edgar, had some wars at LW and been on a great run at FW. I don't buy into him being the one to beat Conor though. I think if Conor's comes unstuck, it will be Dos Anjos.
Be interesting to see what their plan is for UFC 200. Could Conor do 197 & 200? The return of Jon Jones? CM Punk's debut on the undercard?

I understand his frustration, but Connor fighting dos Anjos dosent mean frankie won't get next shot, just means he might have to wait a little longer.
I'm hoping they just do all title fights for 200, maybe a couple of 'legend' fights too?
I'm guessing jones v Cormier 2 and rockhold v Weidman 2 will both be on it

A main card full of high level rematches would be interesting.
Cormier V Jones 2
Rockhold V Weidman 2
McGregor V Aldo 2
Holm V Rousey 2
Unlikely but technically possible going on timescale.
Anyone else think Tate might be able to beat Holm? Holm is obviously favourite, but prior to the Ronda performance she hadn't looked a killer. Seems strange to risk the rematch although I understand Holm wanting a fight in the interim.
I feel Edgar's pain. He has earned another title shot several times over at this point. There are plenty of good challengers at 155, there is no need for McGregor to move up, particularly not after he just won the title and hasn't even defended it once yet. McGregor/Edgar is the obvious fight to make and it seems like they're doing everything in their power not to make it.
Not to mention, Edgar is just an immensely likable fighter. He managed to become maybe the best LW ever despite being ridiculously undersized for the division, always sought out the toughest fights, and is now nearing the twilight of his career. Give this man his title shot!!
Read the article on the guardian about this Macgregor/Holm card and it mentioned that Macgregor is looking to become only the 3rd multi-weight champion in the UFC. Surely this can't be true, i remember BJ Penn running through the weights in the early days and Randy Couture was a light heavy & heavy champ. Has nobody else done it?

Can't argue with that!
The McGregor LW situation seems to be mostly down to his struggle to make weight. No doubt Frankie has earned it, but if Conor is genuinely struggling, why put yourself at risk when you can earn plenty of $$ and possibly attain a 2nd belt by moving up!? Edgar unfortunately is the one that misses out, but when you've created what McGregor has in less than 3 years, and you're the companies main cash cow, you get special treatment.

Those are the only 2 to my knowledge and neither were current champs of their previous division when they won their 2nd title (Penn fought GSP when he was LW champ but lost) so Conor would be a first in that sense.
Yea I think he would be the first simultaneous multi-weight champ. Penn made an attempt at it but lost to GSP. Couture generally made the habit of switching weight classes after he lost the title.
Honestly I don't love the situation. If McGregor wins, he probably vacates the FW title and we end up with Aldo/Edgar II which isn't ultra compelling. If Dos Anjos wins then McGregor's star power is diminished, even if he's still technically the FW champ.

Thought there would be much more than that. I know there is a bigger gap in the divisions but thought some would have managed their weight with multiple titles in mind

True but time will tell if and when he gets matched up with a grappler who can take him down and properly take control of a grappling match.
Bellator now has a pretty good set of welterweights to draw attention outside of page you have big names like Daley and Koscheck and good fighters like Ward and Lima who have good records there and that's before you look at the welterweight champion koreshkov

officially I think only Couture and BJ Penn have won titles in different divisions, Anderson silva once played with the idea of fighting for the LHW title but nothing ever came of it but he did fight at LHW and then you can name Uriah Faber who's fought for the featherweight and bantamweight belts but never won them in the UFC
