What have been the fights, that you predicted to be a stinker turned into something rather good?

Hatton vs The Pac-man thought this would be a great tussle  What a load of shite from Hatton! The Pac-man showing what the difference is between a British world champ and a proper elite world level champion Is all about.

Perhaps you can edit the subject to: Fights That Were Better Than You Thought?

Trevor Bryan vs Derrick Rossy. That's actually a good fight.

As Lindsay Nelson used to say, "That's why they put erasers on pencils."

Wlad vs Pulev. I was expecting it to be fencing for 12 rounds kind of affair. I was pleasantly surprised when it was short but good match :box:

That tread title made my head hurt a bit

Done it, one fight that proved better than I thought was Erislandy Lara v Alfredo Angulo. I thought the slicker more polished Lara would run rings around Angulo but instead shot it out.

The best fight i've ever seen was Pacquiao vs Marquez 4. After the 3rd was i expecting another 12 rounds of high quality, but slightly boring cat & mouse... but the war the ensued in the 4th fight, the knockdowns and the brutal, sensational 1pko was something special.

It will be remembered as one of the greatest fights of all time. It was probably the greatest fight of the current millennium so far.

Without doubt. The Hagler Hearns bout seems to have, over the years, naturally taken the mantle of the GFOAT. Imo Pac vs JMM 4 is a greater fight. As good as Hearns/Hagler was they simply swung for fences. Jmm vs Pac 4 was a vicious fight but also a pugilistic, counter punching dream. Ironically enough it was also the last time we seen a true marvel, a killer Pac in the ring.

Hatton was shot to shit by then though. The Hatton that fought Tszyu was a totally different animal.
