Polish and Rep of Poland Title

Are these separate titles? Who sanction them? Should them be merged? Are either of them the EBU affiliated "POLISH PROFESSIONAL BOXING DEPARTMENT"

I suspect all are one and the same. Thoughts?

Just looking at HW, you may see at least three of them:

Polish Heavyweight Title
Current Title Holder: Andrzej Wawrzyk

Polish International Heavyweight Title
Current Title Holder: Mariusz Wach

Republic of Poland Heavyweight Title
Current Title Holder: Marcin Rekowski

I can not say if they are really separate, or some are no longer valid, or maybe one evolved into another. Anyway, all three look pretty much worthless...

Wawrzyk fought for the Polish title in 2008 but then then Republic of Poland title in 2014.

The Polish title hasn't been fought for since 2008 and the ROP title started in 2010. I'm just wondering if it's the same title and if it's affiliated with the EBU?

Done a bit of digging.

The Polish Boxing Association sanctioned the Polish title. But the Polish Professional Boxing Department (which are the EBU affiliated sanctioning body) are the ones that sanction the Republic of Poland titles.

My assumption is that they have either just changed their name to the PPBD at the end of 2012 or the PPBD have taken over the PBA's position with the EBU. Can anyone confirm??

If it's the former or if the PBA is defunct as a pro sanctioning body then I suggest the two should be merged much like the IBBoC and BUI titles in Ireland are merged as a singular 'Irish title'
