Hard to grade Sanders power because he only put Rahman and Klitschko on the floor, neither guy known for durability.McCall on the other hand hurt men with chins.

Other than Rahman & Klit, Sanders blitzed a long line of used up yanks fighting short notice at the altitude of South Africa.

He did hurt Vitali much worse with one shot than any other opponent, Lewis included (although Klitschko walked right onto it)

Oh I'm not disputing that he could hit, I just mean it's difficult to place him because he was so protected. Yes he buckled Vitali as I remember, who went reeling back.

So at least you agree the guy who starred as Lewis's best ko victim had no chin?

I can't unravel this sentence. Who are we talking about exactly?

Rahman. I wouldn't expect you to unravel anything. You've got your little self confused a few times on this thread.

Erm, no I haven't. And your grammar would confuse the best of readers. Hasim Rahman never looked a durable sort, and his prime is peppered with stoppage losses. I don't think he is Lewis' best KO win by any stretch. Lewis stopped better men in Ruddock, Morrison, Golota, V Klit.

Lennox is very overrated. Behind to Vitali ON ALL CARDS before cut stoppage, knocked out by Rahman who was leagues below the Klitschko's.

Memory plays tricks.

Fury points, comfortable.
On what basis?

Nothing wrong with my grammar. I meant highlight reel ko... Yes, Rahman is crap, hence getting knocked out by him will always be held against Lewis by anyone who knows the game. You're obviously not included in that...

And Sanders got knocked out by the crap Rahman, which makes Sanders double-crap, which really makes Klitschko's loss to him look bad - following your logic at least.

And I thought it was the deadly York underworld you knew. And stalking your ex's new boyfriend. As far as boxing goes, you seem entirely ignorant, unless the fighter tickles your weirdo gypsy fetish. Keep living vicariously, Gangster No 1.

:OhYes:

Only the odd night in Wembley or Bethnal Green. But I of course concede to the greater insight Mr. 1975 acquires attending sub-novice galas at the Radisson conference hall in York.

Id say lewis best k.o was either ruddock, golota or grant, these were, at the time he fought them, meant to be the danger men, remember the ruddock fight was a number 1 contender to the winner of holyfield vs bowe 1

Yes, I think on reflection Rahman proved to be the much better fighter than Michael Grant, and therfore a better win, but people do forget that a lot of people were picking Grant to KO the ageing Lewis late. Lewis really did obliterate him.

Ye i remember all the yanks picking him to beat lewis but if you remember his fight before that it was with golota and golota lost heart after having grant down twice i think. I never rated lewis till he blew ruddock away then i thought he could be the real deal (not holyfield )

This thread Just shows how even the most knowledgeable of fans opinions differ! I honestly can't even see why folk are arguing so much over this question! Lewis would've ate Fury up. I am a fan of both but Lewis is by far the superior fighter even at the end of his career IMO. In saying that there's probably far more knowledgeable guys than me that think the opposite! Opinions!

Agreed. Lewis is so superior in pretty much every respect. He is so much better technically and perhaps most importantly - in my opinion, he is TOUGHER than Fury.

Don't be so hard on yourself. If you look at the thread, the only people picking Fury all have a history of bizarre opinions and posts. They're favouring something else, beyond Tyson Fury.

Slate him all you like but people like Jim state their opinion as if it's fact, when the truth is we will never know how boxers from different eras would fare against each other.

I can definitely understand why Fury fans get defensive - most people didn't give him a chance in hell against Wlad (I certainly thought he'd get knocked out within 4 rounds); now he's done the unthinkable by beating Wlad in Germany he still gets criticism for his performance & the fact that Wlad looked terrible.

Having said all that, I just cannot see how anyone could look objectively at Lennox & Fury and think Fury would win. The gulf between them is vast.

I had fury beating him and won a bet between a friend,i looked at wlads style in all his other fights,he holds,he pushes their head down and he uses his reach were as fury was taller than him which would make the pushing of the head down void, fury has a longer reach so wlads jab and grab style wouls be a lot harder to do and with fury having the longer reach wlad doesnt like getting hit so furys jab would of been in his face most of the fight. The fight didnt go the way i imagined but the result was what i thought would happen or even fury stopping him,im not a fury hater by any means but i just think people think he is better than what he is. He makes me laugh and is entertaining but i just dont rate him, nowt wrong with that.
