Re: Next For David Haye?
Who should he be fighting? A well ranked fighter, maybe Pulev, would be good. Who will he fight? I think it will be a British fighter next and part of me suspects Whyte might be his next.

Whyte is coming off a loss. De Mori would be a good return fight for Whyte after he gets over his injury.baron_otto wrote:Who should he be fighting? A well ranked fighter, maybe Pulev, would be good. I believe Briggs is quite highly ranked with the WBA and talks a great game...

Thompson is a good shout

Be rest assured it will not be anyone with a chin. Haye is going all the way the easy way by every B road he can get down. While he does this get your money on him. 11/2 tonight was pure give away money.
Re: Next For David Haye?
I've gone Helenius. Realistically though I don't mind who it is as long as they're someone decent I'd just like to see Haye out sharpish no need to wait he needs to get fighting again

Haye wants the big payday vs AJ. He saw the big man shaken up by the non-puncher Whyte, and fancies he can close the show. He probably can.

Re: Next For David Haye?
True. Whyte's loss does have one thing going for it though. It was to AJ. If Haye is aiming for a fight with Joshua it allows for a direct comparison.wesshaw1985 wrote:Whyte is coming off a loss. Whyte is so inept he will walk into something in 1 vs Haye.

the loss wouldn't affect anything , but the ban might be a sticking pointwesshaw1985 wrote:Thompson is coming off a loss and isn't he banned at the mo?rd350lc wrote:Thompson is a good shout

Re: Next For David Haye?
aj. and iam going haye ko
Re: Next For David Haye?
I went Robert Helenius. Largely due to the fact when mulling earlier over someone capable enough to fight but not be major threat to Haye, Helenius was the first name to jump into my head (not scientific I know).
In any case, whoever it is, needs to be someone Haye needs to do more than just walk after to get the stoppage.
He's fresh enough to fight again quickly. He should do that.

Malik Scott maybe? Mover, might be ok for a few rounds.

Winner of this is a good stage 2.Dusted Peyote wrote:Helenius is fighting Chisora.
How about Dillian Whyte? See how he handles AJ's recent victim?

Re: Next For David Haye?
Haye was very cautious against giants - not only against skilled and very hard hitting Wlad, but even against slow and feather-fisted Valuev or hopeless Audley Harrison (in the first 2 rounds). So I'd like to see him against somebody like Ustinov before he faces a giant with skills.
Re: Next For David Haye?
Don't think Whyte will fancy it , needs a bit of re-building in his career
Re: Next For David Haye?
I think David Price. He's a name, he's slow, and he's chinny.
Re: Next For David Haye?
I tell you what is going to happen next.
Joshua will fight Glazkov for WBA belt. Haye will fight another low risk opponent possibly on the undercard. Then we will have massive PPV/Wembley clash for WBA title, AJ vs Haye late 2016 or 2017.
Browne Chagaev winner is a good option. Both easy work for Haye. Malik Scott is also a possibility. Will crumble after the first haymaker.

Re: Next For David Haye?
Another tune up, a week after AJs PPV fight in April, on terrestrial tv should be Hayes next step.
Then onto the Browne/Chagaev winner for the WBA regular...

Re: Next For David Haye?
He's not going to get any younger and I think he has his mind set at fighting at this weight for the rest of his career - personally I think he his losing his natural advantages that he does have, but he might as well go for it.
So why not fight someone bigger who will take him rounds - someone like Mariusz Wach, or a good survivor like Tarver (is he banned?), or Oquendo (I know he is mates with Haye - but so is Joshua I think) or someone with a good ranking like Takam.
Joshua vs Haye ideally should be for a world title - so as soon as he gets Chagaev the better. If he cannot beat Chagaev, then not sure he will ever be ready for any of the top 6 Heavyweights in terms of ability - Fury, Klitchsko, Wilder, Povetkin, Ortiz and Joshua.
Stervene wouldn't be a bad option either.... what about Derric Rossy - looking at his record, he has run some of the bigger names in the division quite close of late.

Re: Next For David Haye?
Haye is not going to take chances before a multi million AJ fight. No big men, no big punchers, no world class operators. My impression is that Haye wants big money and fewer headaches.
