That's lovely, but he's kicking Camp Eddie in the teeth if he goes through with this. He needs to stop upsetting people, or his dad does, he's not nearl good enough to get away with diva behaviour.

Cant see Eubank taking those sums.
Hearn interview with IFL, he bid £205k, Warren £150k and Hennessey £260k.
Hearn reckons there will have been an under the table deal for Blackwell to accept less than he's getting on paper to get the fight. He also says Jr is on much more contractually and Blackwell isn't worth nearly £150,000. It's an expensive fight.
If he's on more contractually...why make such a shitty bid himself?

Has this date and venue actually been confirmed? Can't see anything on Hennessy's website etc.

Not far from me, although not the easiest route so fancy going, if I can get tickets

Anybody dealing with them must know what they`re getting themselves into though surely.
There`ll always be someone willing to put up with them for the exposure that they generate.
I can take him or leave him TBH.

He's just going to beat every opponent that BJS said beat but easier, setting up another a nice financial fight up with BJS again.

Frankly, f*ck Hearn with his haircut, what's this got to do with him?

And let's not make out the Bluewater is not a christened boxing venue. Frankly, it was good enough for Jimmy Degale (now IBF champion last time I looked) and once the tv cameras are rolling all you see95% is the ring anyway.

Off topic a mo, does anyone know where Mick Hennessey came into money? Was it through a job or anything? Or how he came to love boxing?
I've also thought he comes over well whenever I've seen him on tele.

Because it would have meant paying Blackwell more. Similar to Hennessey doing a deal with Blackwell to take less, Hearn could have paid Blackwell the £120k he would have been due if he won the purse bids, then paid Eubank extra on top of the money he was entitled to from the purse bid.

Should be a good fight, two good British boxers who both gain something from this fight win or lose

I do see this as a good fight, but possibly a backward step for Eubank. He should be looking at getting a world championship fight soon if not next.

Its a massive opportunity for Blackwell, he probably thought that Eubank had bypassed the British title.
