de Mori should never have been in there in the first place. He's never beaten anybody. A joke that he got this fight.

Nobody got there money's worth though.

Glad I didn't pay for it. Not that I was ever likely to.

Fact is de Mori had a ranking way, way in excess of his record and his ability.

de Mori has very likely never beaten anyone inside the top 100. The guy has absolutely freeloaded his way to 30-1-2. Beaten nobody, and it came as a surprise to nobody Haye just plain annihilated him.

Haye is going to wish he'd picked someone I little more ready to 'go away' I think.
de Mori went away in the blink of an eye

He freeloaded his way to 30-1-2. Beat absolutely nobody with a ranking. Probably never even fought anyone inside the top 100, and it came as no surprise Haye absolutely annihilated him.

Here is a short video clip from the bout, featuring the round one stoppage

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqbEOCNHsY0

A few jottings from the Daily Mail:
Round 1 – And that is all Haye needs

Here we go. The bell goes and Haye is straight on to the front foot. The Brit stalks Mark de Mori around the ring.
Haye seems to hurt the Australian with a big right hand. De Mori is clearly shaken.
Haye has De Mori stuck in the corner. His hands are up but he isn't moving. Haye coaxes De Mori out and it is a sluggish jab and Haye comes over the top. And he is down!
He isn't getting up either. The referee waves it before he even reaches the count. Haye wins in the first round.

JEFF POWELL: Haye opened up, two-fisted, from the first bell. De Mori, with the exception of an occasional right swing, backed away. If it was survival he was seeking, it was not for long. The last of several Haye combinations sent the Australian to the floor. To stay

Mark de Mori has remained on the floor for a long time. He took a couple of incredible shots from Haye there. The Australian is finally helped on to a stool.
Haye climbs on the ropes and cries to the crowd 'I'm back. I'm back.'
He certainly is. Quite what we have learned from that short cameo I'm not really sure, but Haye could not have been more convincing upon his return to the ring.
Will he continue that his cover has now been blown? He is delusional enough to do so and go back and fight stiffs, but at least he has finally been flushed out, despite his purse from the night.

The result was no suprise. De Mori wins either way. I really hope a lot of up and coming Australian fighters look at this and learn 2 things.

1. This is what happens when you pad your record;
and 2. The WBA is fast becoming a joke of a belt, with their top 10 comprising mostly 'money makers'.

Devastated for Mark, but when you dare to dream someone is going home with a loss.

Mark is fine and respect to Haye. Never gave Mark a chance to adjust to the step up and his speed and looked as fast as ever.

Glad Mark is okay. But let's try and keep the summary real and forget the "but he's my friend" baloney.

Mark de Mori freeloaded his way to 30-1-2 by beating guys outside the top 100, and in most cases guys with rankings that resembled phone numbers.

He had no right being in the same ring as David Haye and got absolutely annihilated just like 99.9% of people who follow boxing knew he would.

The jig is well and truly up and the game over.
