This is the weakest group of champions in the history of the sports big men, and the only time I can think of where the top contenders are far and away better than every one of the champions.
That's a little rough. If you talk about worst HW title holder, you need to compare Martin to Marvin Hart, Tommy Burns, Leon Spinks, and Monte Masters. True, Joshua and Parker look better than Wilder, Martin and possibly Fury at this point. But I find Martin, Fury, Wilder and the up comers to be a fun bunch.
Marvin Hart beat Jack Johnson, Joe Choynski, Gus Ruhlin, Peter Maher, and Jack Root.

Tommy Burns beat Marvin Hart, Jim Flynn, and Jack O'Brien.

Leon Spinks beat Muhammad Ali's ghost.

Charles Martin is not comparable to any of them. I don't wish him ill or anything, but he is the worst heavyweight titlist of all time. He can change that, but I've seen him fight a few times before and I don't think he will.
Martin dominated the whole third round and hurt Glazkov until the injury happened. I think Martin would stop Glazkov anyway. Saying that, Martin definitely has the worst resume for a world HW title holder of all time.

I'll give Martin a chance. His resume is obviously relatively weak but I think he's capable of producing a good body of work.

I'm including the win for the title, so no for Bentt. He beat Tommy Morrison who was much better than Glazkov. Damiani's resume after his win over Du Plooy was better than Martin's one is now, in my opinion. I think Martin can be a decent champ (title holder) though.

I have never been close to being on the losing end of an argument here, so I have no idea where you get that.

Feel free to post an example of me losing an argument and going on for pages after...but don't bet on it, kid.

Number two.

I rooted for Mayweather when he fought. When he retired, I not only stopped rooting for him but also saw little need to talk much about him.

It is butthurt Pactoid morons like yourself who, like the Salt Water Catfish himself, constantly feel the need to mention Floyd, like some warped dong measuring contest they keep coming up short in.

Stay in your lane, cretin.

Or I will own you...again.
You know nothing, and prove it when you post. I'm not a Pac fan. You still practice Floydolatry by denegrating other fighters that you think threaten his legacy.

Now go away and argue with your pitiful self. Or, go to the mirror and raise your hands in victory over your imaginary foes you pathetic little fool.
I have forgotten more boxing than you will ever know.

And if you call questioning a fighter when his record deserves questioning "denigrating" then that is proof that what you like about boxing has little to do with the sport and more to do with idolatry and hero worship.

Here's a clue rookie. You can't "denigrate" a man who is willing to risk his life in the ring. But you can make his fanboys butthurt enough to use words like that...

When it comes to boxing?

Yeah.

Nerd city. Can't get enough stats and trivia.

Gonna get time to talk to my uncle soon. He boxed professionally in the 50s, and has all kinds of stories and insights. Still knows Holyfield...

You need to work on your act, troll.

First letting slip that you didn't know that non-punching basketball player Jennings decked & stopped Szpilka, & then coming out with something like this about a man dropped four times (one was ruled a slip but he'd shipped a shot & his legs were spaghetti for a good two minutes) over two fights by Mike fornicating Mollo, who was coming off a three year lay-off.

Fuckwit.

And you need a cure for your myopia.

I didn't let anything slip...I forgot plain and simple.

And immediately owned up to it.

It happens.

What I didn't forget is what you conveniently omitted...that Spilzka, KDs and all, stopped Mollo.

Twice.

Apparently you don't know what a chin is.

It is an ability to get hit in the head with your opponent's best shots and keep fighting.

Spilzka has that.

Only time he was stopped was more a matter of Jennings breaking his body down first.

But of course, you mentioning that would kinda undermine your feeble pathetic shot at me, wouldn't it?

Keep amusing me, son. Your hating is vindication that I am right most of the time...

That was in response to different cretin who reasoned that since Mollo had him down 3 times in two fights that must mean Szpilka has no chin...
completely missing the point about how great a chin it takes to get decked three times and STILL stop your opponent TWICE.

I'd say Szpilka is as quality or more quality a heavy as about half of Wlad's last 8 opponents, at least 6 of Fury's last 10 opponents, and 6 of Ortiz's last 10.

It must have been horrifying in person.

I have a friend who was at Barclay's last night.

I'll ask her what she saw...
