It certainly is. The way he moves is a bit like some type of dance. It's very unorthodox and allows him to land from odd angles and pull off explosive take downs.

If he is anywhere around his old form, he should win this bout.
I saw a youtube comment where someone said he moved like he was having an epileptic fit lol.

Excited for the card this weekend. There's some genuine bad blood between Cruz and TJ which makes this all the better.

Also looking forward to seeing Pettis back in action. I'm a fan of Eddie as well. But, I feel he's out of his depth here.

And I am also looking forward to Felder/Cruickshank (which is on friggen Fight Pass, been noticing they've been putting a much better FP main event on there the past few cards). Felder has had a tough last couple outings. But, he is solid and tough.

Pettis is probably my second favourite active fighter right now. Hope he can get a shot at the macgregor/RDA winner, should he win of course

Bummed that I can't watch today. Is there any particular reason why this card is on a Sunday in the states?

I scored the fight 4 - 1 for Cruz there were some close round but I Cruz still won the close rounds as in my opinion they were close but clear. TJ made an ass of himself at the end of the fight IMO claiming he should've won. The judge that scored the fight 4 - 1 for TJ should never judge a fight again, they're clearly incompetent. Most importantly huge props to Dom Cruz coming back from the injuries he did and performing that well first time back is just amazing. Having had a couple of knee reconstructions myself I know partly how hard what he had to go through was and just how heart breaking it really is when it happens.

Pettis is going to be interesting now it seems guys are really seeing the blueprint to beat him and that makes it very hard to get wins against good competition.

I feel for Mitrione I think the eye pokes changed the fight hugely, I though Browne was cheap when Mitrione covered his eyes clearly in pain and because the ref didn't do anything he attempted to jump on him. Bad sportsmanship IMO.

My buddy was messaging me during the fight, he had TJ up 3 rounds to 2. Judging by the comments online it seems like it was a close, difficult fight to score.
Honestly, I don't like dom cruz, but it is a great story and props to him.

Browne has always been a dirty fighter, seen him drop some illegal elbows in a few fights. Him and ronda are made for each other, two scumbags.

You think pettis might be in a similar position to machida? Re guys figuring them out?

My DVR cut out after 4 rounds but I had Cruz up 3-1 so I assume I'd have had Cruz winning. Very close fight though. I wonder if they'll do a rematch, or Cruz/Faber III.

Pettis/Alvarez really needed 2 more rounds, I absolutely hate the fact that UFC doesn't make all fights between top contenders 5 rounds. Really it was another decision that could have gone either way, but Alvarez's strategy was very cynical and it sucked seeing him get rewarded for it.

I think it makes sense to play on the new-found rivalry and do Faber V TJ. Winner gets Cruz. Either rematch would be marketable.

If they do TJ/Faber then who would Cruz defend against? Considering how much time the guy has spent sidelined to injuries (only 2 fights in 4 years) I doubt he wants to hang around idle while he's healthy. Maybe they could do Cruz/Barao but the last I heard Barao didn't want to fight at 135 anymore.

I like Faber, but if he got a title shot it would be a bit of a joke. He should at least have to beat someone like TJ first. Cruz could fight that Brazilian kid, his name escapes me....almedia? Or something?

Didn't Cruz have problems with his foot? Might have a bit of a medical suspension?

TJ V Faber definitely sells. If Cruz isn't injured for a bit, he could face Almeida as
thunderfromdownunder said. That would also sell. Almeida is coming off 4 bonuses in a row. Only problem with that fight is, he could ruin the plan and beat Cruz, he looks incredibly dangerous.

Almeida looks great but he's only 24 and his level of competition hasn't been that high so far. I'd at least like to see him beat a fringe contender before he gets a title shot. Sterling is looking like a contender but he also lacks a signature win and he's now having contractual issues as well.

Part of the problem here is that the UFC hasn't done a great job of collecting all the top talent at 135 under their roof. You have a lot of top guys (Fernandes, Dantas, Moraes, Galvao, Warren) in this weight class signed to other promotions right now, so the UFC is stuck with this Cruz/TJ/Faber/Barao circle jerk.

The press conference for dos Anjos/Connor went pretty much as I expected  . Sometimes I think he takes it to far, and sometimes I'm laughing my ass off.

Predictions for Werdum v Velasquez gentlemen?

I understand what he does sells and all, I'm just tired of it. He sacrifices decency and respect for his opponents to make a buck. People seem to dig it though. But, I hope RDA cleans his clock.

As far as Cain/Werdum.... I feel it's sort of a Cain/JDS situation. I can see Cain steamrolling Werdum this time around. Cain usually has outstanding conditioning. He was gassed before the end of the 1st round in Mexico. Probably did not get acclimated to the altitude in that fight. This one will be much different.

I'm not so sure, Cain has to outstrike Werdum without the threat of a takedown which is really hard for someone like Cain who's striking ability gets helped massively by the takedown threat. Werdum doesn't care if he takes him down and I'm not so sure Cain wants to take him down either.

I highly doubt Werdum will be able to take Cain down. Cain is 100x the wrestler Werdum is. Cain was so exhausted the first time around, Werdum did whatever he wanted and Cain was unable to stop it. This time will be different. Honestly, when was the last time you have seen Cain sucking wind the way he was after the 1st round against Werdum?

I feel Werdum is going to get overwhelmed this time. I'll be surprised if Werdum ends the victor.

I never said Werdum would take Cain down or even try to. I said that Cain is facing someone who he doesn't offer a takedown threat when striking to which changes a lot striking wise. It doesn't mean Werdum will win but it means Cains striking won't have the big thing it normally has going for it.
