Plan the next two fights......

With no big fight nights coming up over the week or so, I thought I would go a bit hypothetical and introduce a game of such.....

Plan the next two or three fights for the following fighters. Not necessarily opponents, but more the level of opponent they should be aiming for and where they should be in (y)our eyes after their next two fights.

I have tried to mix it up a bit in terms of level, and also recent form to make it a bit more interesting than for example Stephen Smith – world title shot.

Hughie Fury - Time for this lad to start progressing
1. Eddie Chambers - would be an interesting test and recognisable name and has a run of wins recently, they'll know each other well from Eddie training with the Fury's
2.Kevin Johnson - might as well take an easy one, Hugie fights often and this should be a straight forward points win against a now quite unambitious opponent
3. Derek Chisora - I know he's been mentioned as a opponent for everyone just now, but it sells, it's a test and Derek is ranked by WBC & IBF, no point getting ranking for Tysons titles as long as he holds them. Other options could be Ruiz, Arreola, Adamek, Scott, Cunningham or Jennings who all hold a ranking with one or other of those organisations. In a year, if he keeps winning, he should be ready for these kinds of tests or he won't go very far. It would just be abpout which could be made and which wouldn't



Hughie was a name on everyones lips so I've gone for some more recognisable names and British/American fighters who would help build a profile as much as ranking.

Slightly off-topic, but whatever happened to that thread where people created a card, within the realm of possibility, using the Boxrec ranking points? Was a good one that. Be interesting to see what people create now given some divisions are a lot more open.

Eggington is fighting Skeete, I'd like tosee the winner fight Paulie.

Smith is fighting for the EBU next, I'd like to see him in with Jack after that.

Groves has a tune up coming up, after that he should look at Chudinov.

Luke Campbell should go for the British title he shouldn't have tried to skip in the first place, then either Mitchell orMatthews, whichever makes most sense after their next fights.

Hughie should look at someone like Shannon Briggs and target the Chagaev/Browne winner.

Etches should be looking at Ryder if he loses to Khomitsky, if not try to work towards the British.

Mitchell Smith should take no more than one tune up before rematching Jupp, and work on his defence beforehand.

I'd like to seeHearn set up AJ vs Pulv as an IBF eliminator, Martin is the weakest champion in a long time may as well take advantage straight away.
