Holmes and Foreman fought quite a bit in the 1990s. Do you think Tyson fans rate them fairly highly?

Here are a few off of the top of my head.

Heavyweight - James Jeffries (though not as underrated as the rest of these guys)
Light heavyweight - Harold Johnson, Michael Spinks
Middleweight - Nino Benevenuti
Welterweight- Luis Rodriguez
Lightweight - Carlos Ortiz, Lew Ambers
Featherweight - Vincente Saldivar
Bantamweight - Panama Al Brown

thanx for mentioning luis rodriguez, a horribly underated fighter. harold johnson as well is a very underated light-H who didnt win the title until he was far past his prime because in his prime he unfortunatley had archie moore to deal with.

for middleweight, I think a guy like holman williams is underated. i hardly ever see him in anyones top 15 middleweight list

What about guys like Ken Overlin? Or Fred Apostoli? Maxie Rosenbloom? Joey Maxim? Boxing is/was such an amazing activity because there were so manyood fighters that never met, or met at inopportune times...Guys that could box or punch...or do nothing well (like Rosenbloom) and still win 240 fights and defeat a lot of great fighters along the way.
