The WBA make an arse of themselves again

Post by Boxing Prospect »

They look to make a mark in China by basically giving Qiu Xiao Jun a WBA "regular" title fight 2 weeks before a unification with their super title. Jun is fighting someone the WBA don't rank in the top 10.

Farcical

THE number 19 versus the number 119 according to the PBO. Not unusual for challengers to be outside the top 100.

You could write a book about the ways the WBA have made asses of themselves in recent years.

They have Shannon Briggs ranked #4 at Heavyweight too by the way.

This isn't just a WBA thing here now. All of them have us scratching our heads at one point or another. Just look at the new IBF Heavyweight Champion. Even he was surprised on Saturday night that he was champion. lol. It's a joke.

Mate I watched it at my house on Fox Sport and they never showed me the interview and I was glued to the tv
what ever you watched it on might have showed a interview but I never seen Martin utter one word to Jim.

Then Fox Sport edited out the post fight interview. Like Dinquor, I too saw Jim Grey interview the deer in the headlights dopey looking Martin.

They showed the post fight interview up here as well. It was pretty darn awkward but he seems like a nice enough guy and he spent time with the fans while walking out, taking selfies. He seems like a pretty nice guy and i hope he ends up being legitimate.

I'm in the UK and I saw Jim Gray interview him.

He took full credit for the damaged knee saying he punches that hard he's bound to mess up people's legs. FairPlay Jim pulled him up on it but he tried to take the credit
