FilmonTV?

Post by stujones »

This press release does kind of lose me..... but could the mean another channel to show some boxing?

https://globenewswire.com/news-release/ ... annel.html

FilmonTV is on the Sky platform and has shown Ali vs Foreman, original telecast, on a few occasions and this most weird celebrity boxing thing with massive gloves.

Please release is hard work at this time in a morning!

I don't think it will show much a bit like maybe Spike showing PBC but any at all will be a bonus.

I've watched this channel before and the quality (on actual Sky) was shocking. Was like watching low-res YouTube videos back to back.

I use FilmonTV on a regular basis as its installed on my smart box as the outlet for terrestrial tv (ie BBC, ITV etc etc) Never had a problem, one of the more reliable for streaming actually.

First live show is on this week, SKY channel 237. Free to view. It's the Goldenboy show from the Belasco Theather in Los Angeles featuring Julian Ramirez vs Christopher Martin for the vacant WBC Youth Silver featherweight title. Friday night / early Saturday morning from 1:30am. Picture quality isn't fantastic but it's yet more free boxing on UK TV.

I just watched the whole card in HD on youtube and the picture quality was 1st class, the card itself was pretty lame though,Ramirez -Martin was too one sided to be a good fight,i gave Julian every round though there was a couple minute spell in the middle rounds where i thought Chris might finally get going but never did

Abraham Lopez fight was dire too, though the 19 year old Navarro looked decent from what little we seen of him

Whoever wrote that press release needs to find a new line of work.

2nd Film On TV fight last night - Randy Cabellero live.... this is potentially a nice coup, but the production from FilmonTV makes it almost unwatchable. Cuts in mid broadcast and ends before the end of the broadcast. I actually taped the programme before and after (not a pleasant experience) so it wasn't a Sky issue - just film on TV thought that we would rather watch two guys arguing on a web cam with a pile of "tweets" that made no sense.

Come on filmonTV - I can tolerate the poor picture, but please show the full card.

Caballero looked great despite the long lay off,Garcia wasnt great but he was tough and threw shots of his own although he was never gonna win,Randy started off fast and improved as the rounds went on and got the stoppage

Great card actually and a lot better than the Julian Ramirez show from last week

It's great we're getting more free boxing on TV but the quality is terrible. The fact they can't even broadcast the show in the correct aspect ratio is a shocker.
