But no one said he had fearful ability; no one but you. That's what prompted this whole exchange in the first place in case you've forgotten. If you can't recognize that Povetkin will be Wilders best opponent, I'm not really sure what to tell you. Povetkin has already been a champion, perhaps something else you've forgotten.

Povetkin already became world champion, in fact he won 16 out of his last 17 tournaments before becoming a pro, that one tournament he didn't won gold he won silver. He became European champion several times in a row and world champion as well as Olympic champion before becoming pro.
During his pro carreer he won everything as well except for Klitschko, who just about everyone calls "Clinchko" since that fight, because Povetkin clearly was the most skilled, he just had less reach.

I see everyone complain about Deontay Wilder ducking Povetkin.

If you fallow boxing for longer time , you must know that Povetkin won WBA title from Chagaev , after that he was ducking Wladimir for years and defended that title against bums like old Rahman , Andrzej Wawrzyk.

He pulled fight against Wlad once than more time.


I see double standarts in boxing.

If Wilder fought a guy like Takam most of you would complain that Takam is a bum who lost against Gregory Tony and needed 8 rounds against old Michael Grant.

Nobody ever considered Povetkin anything more than a Paper Champion. That's not the issue. The issue is that he's been Wilder's #1 contender since Wilder won the belt, and he's not only not defended against him, but has faced challengers that aren't even in the Top 20. If Wilder beats Povetkin I'll give him credit, and I'll be impressed because Povetkin will be the best fighter he's beaten up to now. Povetkin is no pushover.

That being said. I think Povetkin is going to spark Wilder inside 5 rounds, and I don't think it'll be all that hard for him honestly. Povetkin's no World Beater, but he's faced legitimately tough challenges in his career and has improved since the loss to Wlad. Wilder will have his hands plenty full with Povetkin if he ever gets his balls up enough to step into the ring with the guy.

I think there's a good chance he vacates his title to instead fight Charles Martin for the IBF Title. Proving that he and Haymon know what I know. He can't beat Povetkin.

Povetkin is really a cruiser...and most of his opponents were actually cruisers. He cannot handle real big guys(please don't mention the punchbag named Wach)...he don't have the reach and one-punch power.

As a matter of fact, Wilder is also a cruiser(weight)...but he has reach of heavy and hell of a punch.

A slip in the beginning and a bunch of wrestling from Wlad's side, which doesn't belong into boxing and he should have been punished for in the early rounds already. I've never seen someone hugging so much in a boxing match before and neither after, it's very very suspicious he didn't get disqualified.
