longest run of fights with fewest opponents

Post by littlepug »

So for example both evander holyfield and Azumah nelson had a run of 5 consecutive fights involving only 2 opponents, Lewis x2 and Ruiz x3 for holyfield and ruelas x2 and leija x3 for nelson, can this be beaten ?

With a little work many could be uncovered. , I think there are some old fighters who really got carried away with just such examples.

Probably because they were in a small population area, and weren't making enough to travel to the next city. lol

Sam Langford had 5 seperate runs of 5 fights with 2 opponents (which surely puts him ahead of Nelson and Holyfield who only achieved it once)
and 2 runs of 7 fights with 3 opponents

This guy wasn't the gate keeper, as many swings as he took, he was the gate.

:salut: :OhYes:

I kind of think these guys most know each other better than their respective wives and just having a good natter.

AA: "you've definitely changed your deodrant since last week Robert, the last one was very musky but this is has definite citrus notes."
RS: "yup, it makes me feel clean, crisp and fresh mate. Is it my turn to punch you by the way? I've kind of lost count."
AA: "Nope, my turn to punch you. Body or head mate?"
RS: "Body please, going anywhere nice on your holidays this year?"

Jack Britton fought Ted kid Lewis, then Mike O'dowd, then Lewis 4 more times on the spin, so he matches the 6/2 but only once

can't beat Freeman, think he surely wins it
