Is Haye capable to tackle Joshua?
What do you think about Haye if he fights against Joshua? Is it will be a same kind of match like Joshua vs Whyte or if we will see some change????

Who knows where either of them are at the moment?
Joshua is a novice & Haye hasn't fought anyone with a pulse in almost five years & has been inactive for 3.5 of those years.

IMO Haye is one of the hardest punching fighters for many years, he will beat anyone if he lands that Hayemaker.

Haye has just beaten a corpse after a 3.5 year hiatus.
Let him hit someone with a pulse & take some back & see how he reacts before proclaiming him as some sort of second coming.
Re: Is Haye capable to tackle Joshua?
Very risky fight for Joshua.carnt see hearn making this to much risk.

Re: Is Haye capable to tackle Joshua?
Too early to tell. Haye needs to blast a genuine love fighter out first, then we can revisit this potential fight. Right now, Haye is the one calling for it as he wants Joshuas ranking and the big money it brings. I can't see this one happening soon, if at all.
Re: Is Haye capable to tackle Joshua?
Of course haye could win, hed probably be a slight favourite.
Joshua has no reason to take this dangerous fight yet, he will take a gradual route to a title and take such a risk when it is worthwile. Haye obviously doesnt have too many years left so is keener at the moment.
I think haye will have to take the tough route now although his drawing power will make big fights inevitable.

Re: Is Haye capable to tackle Joshua?
Joshua wouldn't have been let off the hook by Haye like Whyte seemed to do after landing clean in the 2nd.
Re: Is Haye capable to tackle Joshua?
Joshua is pretty big but I imagine that if Haye got some momentum and went for the legs he'd be able to tackle him.
Re: Is Haye capable to tackle Joshua?
But he brings plenty of reward, so I don't see why he would be avoided by most fighters.littlekinny wrote:Haye will be the most avoided man in the division in 2016!!!! Risk v Reward etc.....

The real question should be "Is Joshua capable to tackle Haye"? I've seen Joshua and I'm not going to get all happy about a guy beating Bums and by one who has a crude Brawling type of style, all he needs is someone who can stand up to him and not be afraid of his power.
I've seen this a million times in boxing, a fighter that's perceived as some type of punching monster and then along comes the most humble of boxers or the least or last guy you'd expect to beat him clean his clock.
Tyson vs Douglas comes to mind, Trinidad vs Hopkins comes to mind and so many others. Until Joshua shows me something more than his crude straight ahead (no angles) style and not fighting Bums there's no way I'd put him in their with Haye if I'm his Promoter.

The point of this would be that "at least DH had a biggest fight"!! Joshua is preying on Bums.BAD INTENTIONS wrote:What did David Haye do in his biggest fight?

Talk to me when Haye has a real fight. The last guy was only in there to play the role of a punching bag. Tough way to earn a buck, though. As it stands now I put Haye in the same category as Briggs until he shows me something for real.

Let him fight Ortiz, they are the ones that can help each other at this moment, Ortiz needs name and fame, Haye needs points and I think it will be a really close match.

It's very difficult to give a full assessment on either man, we're dealing with too many assumptions and guesswork.
Re: Is Haye capable to tackle Joshua?
Hi. Wait for a contest between Joshua vs Haye. Then I will ask the similar question. ok???Ian1973 wrote:Davidreed wrote:What do you think about Haye if he fights against Joshua? Is it will be a same kind of match like Joshua vs Whyte or if we will see some change????

Re: Is Haye capable to tackle Joshua?
If I had to bet I would bet Anthony Joshua. I think with Haye he is nearly 4 years older so until he is in a serious fight we really don't know how much worse he has got. Will he be better 4 years later? Very unlikely.
Going less than a round with Mark de Mori proved he is a a top 50 heavyweight. A fight with Malik Scott would see him back in the top 10. With heavyweights they can all punch so with Open chin I think all these fighters could knock each other out; Fury, Wlad, Joshua, Haye, Wilder, Parker, Ortiz. I am not sure Povetkin can though he could outwork some of those fighters with the right game plan. I think Martin is unknown, until Glazkov his one and only top 100 win was against a fighter ranked 77. For me watching those two rounds it was 1-1, Martin looked bigger and made it difficult for Glazkov to get close, Glazkov ate some jabs, but those are the fights where the technically better fighter Glazkov finds his man latter in the fight, but it was hard to tell if Martin had more and he may have.

Re: Is Haye capable to tackle Joshua?
I don't think the fight with De Mori told us anything other than Haye still having some power. Who knows how good this power looks against a better quality opponent though. I said previously that I think Haye really needs to have 4 fights in 2016 in order to get into the frame, so I am surprised that he isn't fighting again in late March/early April as opposed to the end of May. I am intrigued to see who they put him up against. I think it would be foolish to put him in with one of the division's better fighters. They are clever to announce the fight now and sell the tickets straight away before announcing the opponent. They know that Haye is a big draw for all types of boxing fans.
As for Haye Vs Joshua, it is very difficult to say at the moment. Is he capable? Yes. If he was able to perform to his prime would he win at the moment? Probably yes.

He looks stronger, but a little less flexible, for what I could have seen in that two minits.Lennox wrote:If I had to bet I would bet Anthony Joshua. Not sure about his lungs, also, at some points he seemed to take a lot of risk, the latest 10 seconds before de Mori got KOed he could easely have hitted Haye, not hard enough to KO him, but at least hard enough to make him a little less confident again.
